It explores the Amsterdam of emancipation and transgression --- a meeting place for all diversities, onto the savage Sri Lankan landscape and trade throughout Asia . This memoir, sometimes sad, other times humorous, is compelling and inevitably, creates a link between the reader and the protagonist who, always keeping his sense of humor, and his somewhat cynical irony, unveils his incredible life.
