A book from my childhood and one that I remember with some fondness since it allowed me into a world of imagination while participating in one talent that I was severely lacking. As a result I spent many hours trying to cobble together creatures that were more or less not as fantastical as they could be but still interesting enough for my developing mind.

Funny Animals Tracing Fun did come at first with some blank tracing paper that allowed you to have full access to unobstructed sketching pleasure although it most definitely did run out fast. Fortunately the reader will find that most paper with some translucency is still usable although that may mean your funny animal may have some blue lines flowing through it.

Meanwhile the book itself basically has very little text to it except in the case of providing a description of traits at the top of each page such as Faces (a very limited selection of necks strangely enough was grouped here as well), Eyes, Ears, Bodies and Extras, etc. as a guideline for sketchers. Meanwhile the categories were given mostly just one page with multiple entries or in the case of a bigger selection like Heads and Bodies two pages as the max of selective options.

All in all if you have a young artist in your household or need something to help pass the time in an arts and craft style when the weather may be restrictive than this book will be a fun "game" to visit for those moments.

Drawing is one of my greatest assets in life now and the unique thing about this book, was you could make faces by mixing and matches the different noses and eyes and they lined up all the heads and stuff perfectly you could draw any variety of different monsters basically. I tried to recreate this "simple" traceable drawings but for some reason I couldn't figure out how to get it right and I'm stumped as to why, that's why I wish I still had a copy of this to reference to...
