This is a book of poems, one might call them. Poems rather than paragraphs. This is an emotionally HARD read. So emotional for me as the step-daughter of an abusive alcoholic and the ex-wife of an abusive alcoholic. I didn't have it as hard as Mitzi, but it triggered some super painful memories. Gives me gratitude for the peace I live today.

to create art from such living horror that children witness is absolutely amazing. One should read each poem as a day in the life.... There were so many days.....
