When God tells Noah that a great flood is coming, Noah obeys the Lord’s command to build an ark and collect two of every living creature. Written by Dr. Mary Manz Simon, one of the most highly respected writers in the Christian book market, this retelling focuses on three virtues–obedience, patience, and gratitude–that made Noah’s faith so strong.
Mary Manz Simon is an award-winning author whose titles have sold more than three million copies in the Christian channel and are available in ten languages. Similar to the Moses book I just reviewed (also by Manz Simon), in that it is a satisfactory retelling. This time, though, the author doesn't offer any 'back matter'. There are no discussion questions or things to think about, unless the reader comes up with them him/herself.
Again, the author avoids the unpleasant - why God sent a flood, and what happened to the other people who were living at that time.
