Harry: I don't gamble, you know that. Never have and never will.
Lloyd: Yeah, sure. I bet I can get you gambling before the day is over.
Harry: How much?
Lloyd: Twenty bucks.
Harry: You're on!
Lloyd: I'm going to get you. I don't know how, but I'm going to get you.

Me: ...

Anyway, sudah lama sekali sejak aku menonton film ini, jadi sudah lupa jalan ceritanya. Dengan membaca novelisasi filmnya aku jadi diingatkan bahwa kedua karakter utama film/buku ini memang bego. Dan begoer.

This book is excellently written, maintains attention. Laughs throughout. Only takes an hour to read. If I were an English teacher I'd absolutely include this in my coursework for creative writing. I plan to outline the book myself as an exercise. 5 Stars!!!

One side note is... I'm imagining, since it was published in 1994 this was a legitimate alternative to actually seeing the movie in the theaters and before it hit VHS. Perhaps even a kid-friendly alternative because I'm not sure this includes some of the more adult style jokes the film includes. I can't be sure I've seen the movie uncut before, only on TV many years later.

Definitely worked better as a movie rather than a book. Not the best thing.

hell yes I found a novelized version of "dumb & dumber" in a cardboard box on the street, brought it home, and read it in the bathroom. damn straight!

i chuckled at various points, but my favorite line was totally left out. after driving to what they expected to be Colordao but was actually mid-west America, the immortal words are spoken, "That John Denver is full of shit..."

and the description of Sea Bass wasn't clear enough for me to picture Cam Neely.
