What I think is that everyone should read this book when they are in their 40's? When retirement comes around, your whole life changes, and it takes awhile to adapt to those changes. This book helps with humor and seriousness both. It really gave me something to think about, and I'm 71. I remember dreading the 30th birthday, and the 40th birthday...and our society goes right along with some of those preconceived notions.

This book will dispel any misconceptions on aging; and they are from people quoted from way back in the past, and from present day. Some are writers, some philosophers, and more are performers, athletes and people that you know. There are more than 150 quotations to read and think about. I couldn't begin to pick my favorite one, but I will include a few that really made me think.

"We are always the same age inside." Gertrude Stein

"I must be careful not to get trapped in the past. That's what I tend to forget my songs." Mick Jagger

"The wisest are the most annoyed at the loss of time." Dante Alighieri

"You don't stop laughing when you grow old, you grow old when you stop laughing." George Bernard Shaw

"Some things get better with age. Like me." Keith Richards
