In this Pride and Prejudice variation, Elizabeth runs away from home rather than agreeing to marry Mr Collins. She runs to the Gardiner's home in London so her family is not worried. However, she approaches Mr Darcy for help with a job. He offers her a job as his mistress - which she accepts. All this is background as the story begins with Darcy begging Elizabeth to marry him. After they resolve some Wickham issues, she agrees on November 27th. The rest of the story is their wedding and Darcy getting back at people who say mean things about his wife. Then they live happily ever after celebrating the day she said yes - Nov 27th.

This book was quite mature with lots of bedroom time. Our dear couple can't seem to keep their hands off each other. There are multiple discussions around the number of times they have been intimate in a specific time period. Overall this book was not the worse that I have read and I will leave it at that.

Only the least discerning readers...

... will enjoy this book. I managed to get through 67% of the book before I gave up. Sappy, ridiculous dialogue, unimaginable plot lines and just generally unbelievable— there is no way this story could have happened in Regency England. Just no way a woman can go from being a mistress to a wife seamlessly. Even the erotica was badly done. I can’t recommend this book to anyone, really.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Elizabeth goes from being orally raped by Wickham to being Darcy’s paid mistress after her father attempts to force her to marry Collins. Caroline calls Elizabeth a whore (which, as a paid mistress SHE WAS, according to Regency standards), and then Bingley and Darcy set about an evil plot to ruin Caroline socially and then force her to marry a man she’s never met. Such misogyny (toward both Elizabeth and Caroline) on the part of a female author was painful to read, in addition to the poor quality of writing, I just couldn’t take any more. All of us want to see Caroline punished, but this was just so far beyond the pale of the whore/madonna complex as to be asinine.
Read at your own risk and keep your expectations low. I will not be reading any of the writers other books.

okay, so I didn't actually finish this book but I feel like getting to the 50% mark was work enough so I'm marking it as finished. I'm not going to go into detail about what's wrong with this book because I don't really like giving bad reviews. But this book is not good. There, that's all I'll say.

I'd give this a zero if I could. Usually I can find the potential in a story no matter how poorly written. This was so misogynistic any potential it might have had would set women's equality back a whole century. The sex scenes seemed like they were written for men and very uninspired at that!

I loved it!

Warning: Meant for mature audiences. Contains scenes that would scandalize the ton. Readers of a delicate constitution are advised to keep their fans and vinaigrettes close at hand. Contains scenes of descriptive sexual situations, mild language, and scenes of premarital relations.

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. You will see the most beloved characters in a whole new way. This is a Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice variation. What if events after Mr. Collins' proposal changed Elizabeth Bennet's choices? This story begins with Mr. Darcy and his love for a woman he cannot marry. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. It’s a must read. I highly recommend to everyone.

Not our normal couple

I don’t think there can be any other book with two people wanting and having sex more than Ellie, Lizzy’s pet name Darcy uses, and Darcy. It doesn’t read as a story that is one big spoof, but I believe it is.

Really, if you read P&P then read this book next, you would never think they were the same characters.

Original, perhaps not for everyone but I enjoyed once. Don’t think I would read it again though.

The story has an interesting twist because the courtship of Darcy and Elizabeth had an interesting twist. Darcy proposes over 100 times before Elizabeth finally accepts him. Caroline, Wickham, and Lady Catherine meet their match in Darcy and Elizabeth. OFC take no prisoners and Darcy does not tolerate anyone physically or verbally hurting Elizabeth. He threw quite a few punches and even threatened Bingley.

Very good read considering...

So many reviews were negative. Granted it had some sappy moments but overall it held my attention nicely and I can’t always say that about a PNP variation (sadly). This book is not for everyone but folks need to just fast forward thru the sex scenes if that is too much for them and enjoy the rest...

Kind of different, but I enjoyed it

An interesting approach that I'm not sure relates to the original characters' personalities but that makes a lovely story. I definitely liked it.

A sweet and sexy Mr. Darcy

Sigh…. This Mr. Darcy knows what he wants and to hell with propriety. This story starts off steamy from the very first paragraph. If you do not like a steamy variation then skip this book and leave it to those of us who LOVE them. There is some drama and some villainy, but ODC and those around them get their HEA.

Who doesnt love a happily ever after?

Lovelly story where everything bad that happens ends up getting resolved. The strong passionate and protective feelings shown by Darcy just make you fall in love with this heroic character!

Are extremely hot. I love this Darcy, he cannot keep his hands to himself. This read is for adults. Recommended to read
