Amber's life is far from picture perfect. A broken engagement, financial ruin, and a loss of direction drive her to plead for mercy from one of her debtors - the best wedding photographer in town, Sawyer Finn. What neither of them realizes is that the deal they work out will change the way they see themselves, their faith, and one another...

A faith based inspirational romance with some fun humor as well. This is what I have come to love in a Jenn Faulk book. This is an easy book to read that captured me from the first page. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next book by this amazing author.
Amber is a brand new believer who has just recently ended things with her fiancé as he was not a believer. She is buried in the debt of all the wedding plans, and through a series of circumstances comes to meet Sawyer. He's a believer, but oh, so broken in many ways. Look up baggage in the dictionary and you'll see Sawyer's picture. It also did bother me a bit that Sawyer professed faith in Christ, but didn't seem to have a problem with all the females at the weddings groping him. And to drink so much that time he and Amber had dinner.
I love how each of this author's books has the wonderful Gospel message in them! So sad that other Christian romance books barely mention anything about Jesus and His gift of salvation.
Okay, I’ve long been a Faulk fan. Her voice, her matter-of-fact tone that’s fun and free, pointing out truths without sugar coating. Sawyer doesn’t even realize he has issues, and Amber comes along with her newfound salvation and transformation and starts showing him the places he needs to deal with. This story is definitely high on my list of favorites of all her books. There’s just something about their chemistry and the sweetness of how everything clicks into place, how they grow and change and sacrifice and come to realize what needs to happen to really make it all work while honoring Christ. So much love for this book!
I loved so much about this book. Sawyer and Amber have so many things to work through. I loved how real she is in her struggles with a newfound faith and how fast she surprises him with her zest for life and love and faith. I’m not going to spoil anything. I will just say, read it! Savor it and learn from it. FYI: if you love Grant and Maddie you can find their love story in Pure Fiction and the story of Sawyer’s birth in Christmas Surprises.
As is usual with Jenn Faulk books, I laughed and cried my way through this one. I like learning about the next generation that's come from couples she wrote about earlier. She has some good insights on the way children can perceive their parents' troubles and challenges without knowing the whole story, and coming up with wrong ideas.
A great story about being authentically you belonging to an authentic Jesus. I absolutely love how Jenn Faulk naturally seamlessly weaves the gospel into love stories with beautifully flawed characters made picture perfect through their yielding to the perfect Christ
