Adorei as duas primeiras historias, sendo que a de Agosto tinha um toque de policial muito bom. A de Setembro ja achei mais fraquinha. Mas no geral gostei muito deste volume.

The Man of the Month series is a collection of interconnected romance stories, proving individual stories as a larger story plays out. Each novel features a favourite romance trope, ensuring there is something for everyone. With Summer Love, we’re given books seven through nine in the series. The seventh book, Turn Me On, provided us with the friends with benefits trope. The eighth book, Shake It Up, gave us the May-December romance. The ninth book, All Night Long, provided us with the opposites attract trope.
Although each book is an individual story with a start and an end, I would recommend reading these books in order. To understand some of the details of the story in full, you need to understand how things came to be throughout the prior books. You’re certainly told, to ensure you have the basic facts to understand the story, but it is not the same as experiencing all that happened – for a bigger picture, read the series in order.
With each book in this series you go in with certain expectations – you have an idea of how the trope plays out and you know who is to be the man of the month. Despite this, you’re interested in seeing how the little details play out – and for those following the series, you’re interested in seeing the additional elements added to the overall story. Although we’re never given anything new to the genre, we’re always given something unique to keep us wanting more.
For fans of J. Kenner, this is a perfect series to read back-to-back. For those new to the author’s work, as I was when I jumped into the first book, it’s a great introduction to an addictive series. Either way you’re sure to devour these books.

Uma série que me deixou bastante curiosa e empolgada em ler sempre o próximo a premissa de ajudar a manter um bar aberto leva a crer que lá vem mais uma narrativa com homens idílicos e mulheres apaixonadas. Contudo na minha opinião é mais do que isso. A autora mais uma vez não me iludiu.
Que venham os próximos quero saber como acaba o bar e o fim desta série.

Und wieder hat es J. Kenner geschafft, einen absolut wundervollen und überzeugenden Roman zu schreiben!
Ganz ehrlich, ich verfalle dieser Reihe mit jeder Seite, die ich lese, mehr und mehr und ich will den letzten Band eigentlich gar nicht lesen, da ich weiß, dass ich danach nie wieder eine Geschichte aus dem The Fix zum ersten Mal lesen werde…
Auch in diesem dritten Sammelband, der die Monate Juli bis September umfasst, geht es wieder um drei unterschiedliche Pärchen. Der Einstieg ist mit Derek und Amanda meiner Meinung nach wirklich sehr gut gelungen, auch wenn ich mir mal wieder als erstes ins Gedächtnis rufen musste, wer die beiden noch gleich waren (was bei insgesamt 24 Protagonisten aber nicht wirklich eine Schande ist, oder?). Ihre Geschichte ist authentisch erzählt, wenn auch recht kurzweilig, was aber auf die Tatsache zurückzuführen ist, dass es nun einmal eigentlich eine Kurzgeschichte ist. Dennoch glaube ich, dass die beiden noch mehr Potenzial haben, aus dem man mehr hätte machen können.
Das ist dann allerdings beim nächsten Pärchen, Landon und Taylor, definitiv passiert! Die beiden sind in diesem Band meine absoluten Favoriten, und das aus mehreren Gründen. Zum einen ist die Konstellation der beiden insofern ungewöhnlich, dass ein Altersunterschied von 11 Jahren zwischen ihnen liegt, weshalb die beiden sich auch anfänglich gegen die beidseitige Anziehung versuchen zu wehren. Zum anderen geht es nicht „nur“ um die Liebesgeschichte, sondern vor allem darum, dass Taylor einen Stalker hat, der sie bedroht, worüber sie erst den näheren Kontakt zu Landon findet. Meiner Meinung nach, ist dieser Monat am authentischsten, intensivsten und liebevollsten ausgearbeitet. Und das alles auf einmal!
Denn ehrlichgesagt hat mich Pärchen Nr. 3, Easton und Selma, ein wenig enttäuscht. Easton kennt man schon aus den ersten beiden Bänden, man konnte schon einen recht guten Eindruck von ihm gewinnen und ich hatte auch demnach ziemlich hohe Erwartungen an ihn, die aber leider nicht erfüllt wurden. Meiner Meinung nach hatte auch seine Geschichte mit Selma wahnsinnig viel Potenzial, da weder seine noch ihre Vergangenheit ein Zuckerschlecken waren und beide Protagonisten viele Kämpfe in ihrem Leben ausgetragen haben. Auch in ihrer Gegenwart geht es vor allem darum, Entscheidungen zu treffen und mit ihnen glücklich zu werden, was in meinen Augen in einer guten Ausarbeitung zu einer wirklich tiefgründigen und spannungsgeladenen Geschichte hätte führen können, aber leider hat sich J. Kenner hier meiner Meinung nach viel zu sehr auf die erotische Seite der Beziehung zwischen den beiden konzentriert, was mich teilweise wirklich gestört hat. Mir hat der Tiefgang gefehlt, die Ehrlichkeit und das Vertrauen. Eastons Verhalten gegen Ende der Geschichte konnte ich weder nachvollziehen noch mit seinem Charakter in Verbindung bringen, es hat einfach überhaupt nicht zu ihm gepasst und mit Selma bin ich generell nicht wirklich warm geworden, da ich das Gefühl hatte, überhaupt nichts über sie zu wissen, sondern immer nur an der Oberfläche zu kratzen.
Aber dennoch war auch ihre Geschichte unterhaltsam und angenehm zu lesen!
Alles in allem war also auch dieser Band der Reihe wieder ein voller Erfolg! Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist einfach sehr angenehm, sie erschafft Charaktere, die man am liebsten auch zu seinem eigenen Freundeskreis zählen würde und die Geschichte des The Fix, die sich als roter Faden durch die gesamte Reihe zieht, ist so oder so einfach schön zu verfolgen!
Von daher hat sich auch Band 3 seine 4✩ Sternchen wieder vollkommen verdient, auch wenn er in meinen Augen ein wenig schwächer ausfällt als seine beiden Vorgänger.

🍹Mais uma vez, decidi voltar ao The Fix on Sixth e matar saudades deste sítio acolhedor.
🍹Assim como nos livros anteriores, este livro também se encontra dividido em três histórias, onde cada uma conta com tropes como friends with benefits, age gap e opposites attract.
🍹Na primeira história, é possível ver o desenvolvimento da amizade com benefícios de Derek e Amanda ao longo dos anos que continua cheia de química. Agora, ele quer um relacionamento sério, mas Amanda ainda carrega as cicatrizes de um relacionamento anterior que afetou a sua vida. No entanto, Derek é paciente e não está disposto a deixá-la ir.
🍹Na segunda história, Landon e Taylor sentem atração um pelo outro, mas ele não quer aceitar que deseja uma mulher mais nova que ele e tenta lutar contra esses sentimentos. Contudo, os dois começam a conhecer-se melhor e acabam por sucumbir ao desejo. Mas Taylor esconde um segredo obscuro e perigoso e Landon está disposto a lutar contra tudo e todos para ficar com ela.
🍹Na terceira história, temos Easton a sentir-se perdidamente atraído por Selma, uma mulher que é o seu oposto e receia que essa atração estrague a sua imagem de "advogado bem-comportado de sucesso" que pretende manter. No entanto, ao sucumbir ao desejo, fá-lo perceber o quanto a sua vida é aborrecida. Selma não se apega facilmente e carrega as cicatrizes de um passado violento, mas Easton está disposto a mostrar-lhe que só tem olhos para ela e que nunca a vai abandonar.
🍹Este livro fez-me viajar até Austin, a reencontrar personagens incríveis e a afastar-me um pouco da realidade.

Austin realtor Amanda has to reevaluate her priorities and fear of commitment when hotel heir Derek Winston moves to Austin and seeks more than their occasional one night stand. Frustrated with pressure from his father and not willing to fight his attraction to Amanda 36 year old Derek has to reevaluate his life, image, and place in the family company. This book starts out in the time frame before book one and continues through to the present via short scenes in the lives of Amanda and Nolan both separate and together peppered with dramatic scenes such as a suicide attempt and an accident but culminating in a suspenseful teaser to the next book.

A steamy second chance at love romance between the Lawyer Easton and free spirited whiskey brewer Selma. Easton reconnects with Selma as she is in the process of selling her brewery with plans to travel Europe and he is contemplating running for District Judge. Good friends and family help them both decide what is really important with Easton making a grand gesture at the end.

July – Turn Me On - Across a crowded bar, Derek and Amanda have eyes only for each other, and one night of out of this world sex leads them to an agreement to have a hook up each time he comes back to town. But what starts out as no strings attached sex ends up with both of them in over their heads. Can they put aside their agreement and continue with a real relationship? Or will they end it all with no commitment? Once again, J. Kenner does not disappoint. This series keeps getting better and better. Absolutely loved it.
August – Shake It Up - This is the best one of the series yet. I could not put this one down. Every page was filled with great characters, believable dialogue, intriguing plot and passion that leaps off the pages. Landon and Taylor instantly click and they have become my favorite couple in the entire series. I absolutely recommend this book and the entire series.
September – All Night Long - Selma and Easton had a romantic tryst years ago that was satisfying but quick. Now Selma needs legal help and she knows just who to call. But will these two share more than just legal aide? Or will Easton not help her because she will not be the correct type of woman to help with his political career? This book did not have the same in-depth storyline surrounding the bar as the others but it was still a great read. A wonderful story with a wonderful couple.
August – Shake It Up - This is the best one of the series yet. I could not put this one down. Every page was filled with great characters, believable dialogue, intriguing plot and passion that leaps off the pages. Landon and Taylor instantly click and they have become my favorite couple in the entire series. I absolutely recommend this book and the entire series.

Amanda é a melhor amiga de Jenna, que faz parte do casal do mês de Janeiro, ela é conhecida por flertar bastante, mas na realidade mantém uma relação às escondidas com Derek, um homem de negócios que mal para na cidade.
Landon é um policia que para bastante no The Fix, ele tem uma atração por Taylor, uma das funcionárias do bar. E quando ela começa a receber ameaças, ele não hesita em ajudá-la e isso vai fazer com que os sentimentos aumentem.
Easton é o advogado do The Fix, e é considerado um dos melhores da cidade. Então não foi estranho quando Selma, a mulher que ele nunca esqueceu, requisite os seus serviços com um acordo louco.
Continuo apaixonada por esta série, mal posso esperar para conhecer as histórias dos últimos 3 casais.

Mais três meses e mais três histórias. Continuamos a ver a missão de salvarem o Bar The Fix On Sixth, e claro queremos conhecer os homens dos calendários (Já sinto saudades de ver o calendário dos Bombeiros Sapadores de Setúbal). No mês de Julho, temos o Derek que foi para Austin só pelos negócios que quer fazer, mas no meio do seu caminho conhece Amanda. Começam com uma amizade colorida, mas óbvio que já sabemos como é que termina não é?
Depois passamos para o mês de Agosto (Meu Querido Mês de Agosto), Taylor está a fugir do seu ex-namorado que era possessivo, e começa a ver que ele anda atrás de si, chegando a temer pela sua vida, acaba por conhecer o inspetor Landon, e claro que a atração acontece não é. O clima aquece entre estes dois que minha nossa, lá apanham o ex-namorado e acabamos por passar para o próximo mês.
Em Setembro temos o advogado e que está a tentar candidatar-se para ser Juiz, nada o corrompia, até conhecer Selma. Se nos noutros meses, a coisa aquece, neste mês e com estes dois torna-se completamente explosiva. Neste último mês, estava à espera de um pouco mais da história e termina um pouco abrupta, mas pronto. Já só falta o último livro com os últimos três meses... Já começo a sentir saudades...

Ela, focada na carreira e com um medo terrível de compromissos. Mas Amanda percebe que pode ter sucesso na carreira, ao mesmo tempo que pode ter uma vida familiar.

Muitas vezes dou por mim, cansada de alguns livros que, com tanta volta e reviravolta ao longo da história, acaba por se tornar frustrante. Já aqui, temos um livro, com 3 histórias diferentes. Um livro que não cansa, que é gostoso e dá aquele toque de quero mais.

Mais um trimestre lido... mais um excelente trimestre! Foram 3 histórias fabulosas, divertidas, sensuais com aquele gerir sexual sem se tornar banal, badalhoco ou foleiro. Adorei! Cada vez mais gosto da escrita e das histórias da J Kenner. Quem o 4o e último trimestre. E que o The Fix on the Sixth se mantenham nas mãos certas!

Já vamos no terceiro volume e para mim costuma ser aqui que se torna....mais do mesmo.
Verdade que é um pouco repetitivo, mas ao mesmo tempo não é...lol.
