Wow!!! If your looking for constant action and you love books about revenge, you're going to love this book. This is the second book in this series and when I started it I was going to stop and read the first book instead but I couldn't put it down. Even though I now know some of the first book, I'm going to read it anyway. I always look for new authors to read and Andrew Allan has now jumped to my top authors. Thanks for providing many hours of great enjoyment.
Walt sees a news flash that had a truck accident and a load in the back of dead Mexicans. Walt looked for this story on a later news, but it was not on. There was a symbol on the wrist of one of the dead Mexicans. Walt also discovered a symbol on a ring. He named them the Kith. There is a cover up from a number of high ranking officials. There is sex trafficking, murder, and many people involved. Walt gets death threats to back off his investigation. This novel is a thriller that keeps you wanting to keep reading.
The second book in the series uses the same characters that survived the first, even the same enemy. However, it is as exciting and suspenseful as the first book. It comes to an ending that is satisfying, but as the first book did, it leaves the door open for more. Walt Asher is sort of an everyman that makes mistakes and falls into traps, not a superhero. His keenly developed sense of decency causes him to pursue the people he sees as evil, even though he is not that strong. His biker buddy, DG, saves him regularly, but he returns the favor on occasion. He is against an evil organization that has power at all levels of Government and commerce. He doesn't know if he can win, but he is not willing to give up the effort to halt the evil doings. The book has excitement, suspense and violence every step of the way. I couldn't put it down until I got to the end.
This is a cracking thriller. Always something happening, all action no boring bits. I am a bit late to the Walt Asher books but I am glad I got to read this one. Yet another author added to my must read list. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved this book. So much action and crazy situations. I am now going to wave to read the next one. Old ‘Walt’ sure missed seeing how many powerful people needed to be above the law and common man.
Another page turner from the very beginning. There is no shortage of action, intrigue, and all in all a great story. The characters and story are well developed, and so much so, that although it would be helpful if your read the first Walt Asher book Killers, Bikers and Freaks, this one totally holds up on it's own. Easy to follow, such a great story! Complete excitement until the very last word. Did I say this is such a great story??? You won't find any spoilers in this review, but I will say that this book gives you everything you would expect from an action thriller: car chases, explosions, good guys you love to love, bad guys you love to hate, and a description of the area that let's you put yourself right there! Get this book (or both) right now. You won't regret it!
Killers, Bikers and Freaks #1 - A well written, action packed suspense novel that needs editing; the mistakes interrupt the flow of the story. The characters and plot are well thought out and believable. The author's writing style reminds me a lot of Jimmy Buffet's and Elmore Leonard. I hope the next book I read by this author will be edited better, he's too good of a writer; he lost a star on this book. I received the book through Instafreebie or some author's website, and later purchased it. 5*
Update: I received a new copy December, 2017 and it had been edited. It was just as funny and better the second go round.
Sell Shock (#1.5) - Picks up where Killers, Bikers and Freaks left off. A well written, funny, twisting plot with the same lovable characters and more. By the second chapter, you're already LYAO and sucked in for the ride. You can't help it, may as well be a cat needing to satisfy its curiosity. And satisfaction is what you get, until the story ends and you're going, What, it can't be over! You've got to read Killers, Bikers and Freaks first; this is where we meet our fine, funny characters and get hooked on this author's work. Minor editing, but beats the editing of K, B & F, which has been edited as of December, 2017. 5*
Bodies, Blades & Rituals #2 – OMGosh! It’s the first sentence and I’m already rolling on the floor LMAO! I love the books by Andrew Allan; you can’t be in a rotten mood when you reading one of his hilarious, action packed, intriguing little yarns. Do yourself a favor and read them in order; it’s the only way to get the full entertainment value of these books. BB&R starts where Sell Shock ends, a few weeks later.
Well-written, suspense filled, action packed, with touches of humor; BB&R keeps the reader intrigued. It was difficult to put the book down once I started reading it. We have our continuous cast of characters that keep us cheering and rooting for them. And of course, the bad guys are BAD. The subject of the story is current and is just as horrible as in Roman Times or 600 or even 200 years ago; meaning it’s a dark side of humanity. Like drugs, it’s not only for the lower class, but indulged in by a worse class of people. 5*
Walt Asher an unlikely hero and his criminal friend take on the Kith after raising a migrant posse. They destroy a ranch full of perverts but the Society survives to provide an antagonist for follow on action novels.
Hold on to your seats! Get ready for action, once it starts you won’t be able to let go. So hang on and you will definitely enjoy the ride, and see were Walt takes you this time. Enjoy

The Unpopular Sheriff - This book proves that Walt and DB are not the only characters in the world of Andrew Allan that are interesting and able to get the job done. A deputy elected sheriff inpon the murder of his father, the previous sheriff handles his job responsibilities, the kidnapping of a young child and corruption while dealing with influential forces trying to get him ousted. The storylines are intriguing and keep the reader immersed until the last page. The characters run the gamut from good to plain evil. Realistic personalities, realistic dialogues and a vivid imagination from a talented storyteller with a fast pace, humor and twists make this difficult to put down. Never once, does the reader think "I wish W and DB was here". Mininmal vulgar language and no graphic gore. 5*
Passport - I love the stuff that comes out of Andrew's imagination. I hurt myself belly laughing my way through the pages. Yes, there's Walt and Ilsa, but no DB. Passport does a wonderful job taking DB's place as the third wheel to W&I. I would like to see DB and Passport working together in a future book. Plenty of humor, action and intrigue. Needs a new editor, the same from the last book. I contacted the author to review his books. 5*
Black Magic Massacre - A quickly read funny, gory, touch of girlie, voodoo vibes, ridiculous but entertaining and intriguing story. Walt and DB are probably wondering about the change in genre by their creator. Oh, family and romance are also part of the story. The last sentence was great. 4*
The Pimp's Henchman - I love this author's work and this quickly read novella had me hurting from all the belly laughs. This is a gory, vulgar and in places twisted story, but that's what happens in this line of work. While the descriptions are vivid, they aren't actually graphic when it comes to the violence. The scene at the end is a little strong, but this is a very sick, twisted sadist in charge. Hang in there, it gets funny, not the sicko stuff but how it's stopped by a "wow, handy that was just laying around" thingie. If you liked the other books by Mr. Allen and things like Pulp Fiction and Get Shorty, you'll like this funny, dark story, too. It's definitely a good way to spend a little time relaxing. I contacted the author to review his books. 5*
Walt finds himself in deep trouble again as he tries to do the right thing for all the right reasons ... and nearly pays dearly for it. Or does he? No spoilers here - read Bodies, Blades & Rituals for a thriller that will keep you turning pages long into the night. Many thanks, Andrew Allan - I can't wait for Walt's next escapade!
Lots of blood, gore and brutality. Walt finds that even if you think you've backed them down, they are smart enough to find another way to be able to do what they want.
