Escaping the Knight in Dirty Blue Jeans is the story I want to tell. A story about being more than the survivor. Being an overcomer. Going from hopeless to hope back to hopeless. Only to find myself in a place so dark I thought I might never see light again. This is the story of a woman who saw no way out for her girls and herself from the domestic violence she lived in: until she found the strength, courage and hope she never dreamed possible. I speak about our lives. About how we were set free. This book has the potential to open awareness to the many facets Domestic Violence really has, what Hope can look and feel like and how we all have choices. I absolutely believe in restoration and I believe in being set free. Freedom is found in the truth. My heart is to break the stigma of what we think DV looks like. To open communication and healing in marriages before they live with secrets and destruction that kill them. Save the victims and break the cycles. Stop covering the abuse and start healing the abuser. Come into the Fullness of Freedom. It awaits.

I am an author and an Autism Paraprofessional in the Kansas City, Kansas area. Released my first book and my personal view of writers will never be the same - Super Minds. I have recently joined the world of bloggers as my love of writing and expression flourishes.

I pray that this book makes it into the hands of other women who are questioning whether they are experiencing abuse, and discounting their experiences because there are no bloody noses or black eyes. Verbal and psychological abuse is as real and damaging as the outward signs and scars. God is also very real, and bigger than the violence OR the abuser. Laney’s story is one of God’s leading, healing and deliverance. Deliverance from the abuser and the situation itself, as well as healing and deliverance from the emotional and psychological scars that can often last years. If you or someone you know is in an abusive situation read this book and know that you/they too can find escape and hope in Laney’s experience and in the Lord who delivered her. ❤️

I hope this book makes into MANY hands! Such a transparent honest story of getting FREE from the bondage of abuse ... focused on freedom from domestic violence, but can be applied to anything that has you ensnared. LOVE IT and will be buying copies to put in other's hands.
