10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் இச்சிறுநூல், திராவிட இயக்கத்தமிழர் பேரவையினால் வெளியிடப்பெற்றது. அந்த ஆண்டே விற்றும் தீர்ந்து விட்டது. எனினும் மறு அச்சு கொண்டுவராமல் விட்டுவிட்டோம். ஆனால் இன்றைய அரசியல் சூழல் மீண்டும் இந்நூலின் தேவையை எங்களுக்கு உணர்த்தியது. சில நாள்களுக்கு முன்னர், ராம ராஜ்ய ரத யாத்திரை தமிழகத்திற்குள் நுழைந்தபோது ஏற்பட்ட எதிர்ப்பு குறித்துச் சரியான புரிதல் இன்றி, அவர்கள் மதத்தை, அவர்கள் பரப்பக்கூடாதா என்று சிலர் கேட்டனர். ராம ராஜ்யம் என்பது, வெறும் ஆன்மீகப் பரப்புரை அன்று, அது ஓர் அரசியல் முழக்கம். ராம ராஜ்யம் ஏற்படுமானால் அது எப்படி இருக்கும் என்பதை விளக்க வேண்டிய கடமை நமக்கு உள்ளது. இப்போது அது காலத்தின் பெரும் தேவையாக உருவெடுத்துள்ளது.

About the author

Born in 1952, Suba Veerapandian (சுப. வீரபாண்டியன், also known as சுபவீ ) is the author of Karunchattai Tamilar, a bimonthly magazine. He has written around 21 books in the field of Tamil literature, politics and history. His father, Karaikudi Subbiah, was an MLA in the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. Director S. P. Muthuraman is his elder brother.

Despite being a physics graduate, Veerapandian joined Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai to do a masters degree in Tamil literature due to his love for the Tamil language. He graduated from Madras University with a gold medal in Tamil Literature in 1973. After completing his education, he worked as a Tamil lecturer in a college in Chennai for 21 years before retiring. He was instrumental in spreading the quote "Fallen due to Aryan-ism, Arisen due to Dravidian-ism and Victory due to Tamil-ism" ("ஆரியத்தால் வீழ்ந்தோம், திராவிடத்தால் எழுந்தோம், தமிழியத்தால் வெல்வோம்") and with this quote as his base he launched Dravidar Iyyaka Tamilar Peravai in 2007 and is serving as its General Secretary. It is an organisation which works for the welfare of the global Tamil people.

வால்மீகி ராமாயணத்தில் ராமனின் ராஜ்யத்தை பற்றி உத்தர காண்டம் பேசுகிறது. ஆனால் கம்பரின் ராமாயணம் யுத்த காண்டத்தோடு நின்று விடுகிறது. உத்தர காண்டத்தை பற்றி அவர் பேசவில்லை. ஏன் பேசவில்லை என்று தெரியவில்லை.

ஆனால் ராமனின் லட்சணத்தை பற்றி வெளிப்படையாக உத்தர காண்ட சறுக்கங்கள் சொல்கிறது.

ராமன் ஏன் சம்பூகனை கொன்றான்? கொல்வதற்கு தூண்டிய நாரதர் சொன்ன விஷயம் என்ன?
ராமன் ஏன் சீதையை தீக்குளிக்க சொன்னான்?
ராமனின் ஆட்சியை பற்றி மக்கள் நினைத்தது என்ன ?

சுப.வீ அவர்கள் ராமன் செய்த இரு தவறுகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டாக எடுத்து ராமராஜ்ஜியத்தை பற்றி கூறுகிறார் உத்திரகாண்டத்தின் சான்றுகளுடண் .சில பேருக்கு இந்த விஷயங்கள் முன்பே தெரிந்திருக்க வாய்புண்டு.குறைந்த பக்கங்களை(24 பக்கம்) கொண்ட எளிய தமிழ் நூல்.இன்னும் சில விஷயங்களை சேர்திருக்கலாம்.
