Having watched this back in 1987 and having the book and subsequently loaning it to a friend who loaned it to another and so on I was thrilled to find in in a second hand book store.
The story of Matty & Liz, two women from as far as the class spectrum as you can get both meet by chance after a radio request of photos from a certain area in France little knowing they were being sized up as potential undercover operatives to work with the resistance in France. The twists and turns, the unexpected encounters and emotions make this a great book who want to share some of the things we face today but 80 years ago in a time when those like Matty and Liz laid down their lives so we could carry on with the never ending cycle of the twists and turns of life in a free land today.
