"The Holy Spirit also frees us from our burdens. Only in God can we find true freedom. The Holy Spirit frees us from the burdens of our sins, from the sense of guilt and from our mental and emotional anguish. He cures us of all our ills, both emotional and physical, and fills us with a peace that transcends our understanding." (David Yonggi Cho, The Nature of God, Page 185)
This book discusses "Who God really is" through the Persons of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Part one of the book teaches on God the Father, Part two: God the Son, and then the book ends with part three: God the Holy Spirit.
There's much liberating truth in this book on each Person of the Godhead, and I appreciated how the author organized the headings and content of each of the characteristics of each Member.
I love learning about the Person of the Holy Spirit, so part three on God the Holy Spirit was what edified me most! In it he discusses the following topics:
● The Personality of the Holy Spirit ● The Work of the Holy Spirit ● The Baptism of the Holy Spirit ● The Evidence of the Holy Spirit ● The Life of the Holy Spirit
Some of the Personalities of the Holy Spirit the author discusses are: The Spirit of Jesus Christ, The Gospel-Witnessing Spirit, The Spirit of Healing, The Evangelical Spirit, The Spirit of God, The Wisdom and Intelligence of the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Schemes and Talents, The Spirit of Knowledge and the Fear of God, The Spirit of Character, The Spirit Who Has Knowledge, The Spirit Who Has Emotions, The Spirit Who Has a Will, and The Spirit Who Desires Communication. He goes into detail into these personalities. He says, "The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of the gospel, the Spirit of healing and the Spirit of evangelism. We must abide in the Holy Spirit so that these great works become manifest."
I found that I came out of this book knowing God better than I've ever known Him before, and I believe this book will do the same for you!
