Detroit Lions are currently a team in the National Football League (NFL) who have up and down seasons with few chances at Super Bowl glory. However, the Lions were a dominant force in the earliest periods of NFL. Once known as the Portsmouth Spartans, the Lions changed their name and instantly made an impact on the NFL in 1934. They won a few National Championships in the 50s. The Lions have sported many incredible players, such as Barry Sanders, Lem Barney, etc.
This was an interesting nonfiction book. As a devoted Detroit Lions fan, I enjoyed reading into the history of the team. They have had some great players in the past and have had their fair share of victories. Hopefully, one day the Lions will sport a Super Bowl trophy.
