"NOW Classrooms, Grades K-2: Lessons for Enhancing Teaching and Learning Through Technology" provides a great application towards integrating technology in your classroom for lower elementary. The multiple authors, who are established educators, share great lessons to help any teacher reach the ISTE Standards for Students. I would definitely recommend this book if you are a first-year teacher or a teacher that struggles to use technology in a meaningful way. The lessons allow for practical integration. Additionally, the authors provide cross-curriculum connections. There are great ways to add in Language Arts and Math with purposeful technology lessons. Great ways to help students learn Digital Citizenship and practice collaboration. The authors also provide links and a list of great online resources and programs to use that are grade-level appropriate. As teachers, we must make the changes to use technology to meaningfully teach students 21-st century skills and reach the Four Cs (critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication).
