Sincerely, Me
Sincerely, Me is a collection of poetry that is derived from the mind of an anxiety filled young woman who wants nothing more than to express herself in a creative way. This book is a journey through the mind as you will encounter hardships, mistakes, love and broken hearts as you read through the pages of Sincerely, Me. This is the second book in a three part series of poetry and yet again, another story to be told. Though these pages, I hope you become empowered, loved and feel more than just a walking statue, just waiting to break free from your already crumbling structure. Build yourself up and never believe you’re anything less than the beautiful swan.

"Sometimes,It took me a few more poems than I would have liked to get into this at the beginning. However, once it hit it's stride, I was highlighting poems left, right, and centre. Girard knows how to discuss anxiety, depression, and relationships in a way that makes her story relevant to everyone, whether or not they deal with these thoughts. I think the best part of these poems is just how relateable all the poems are. I think the formatting was a little off for my read, but it didn't take away the enjoyment of it for me. If you are looking for a poetry book that will speak to your soul, this is it.
I cry a little harder,
Dig a little deeper,
And scream a little louder.
All to be heard,
By someone,
Who will never hear me."

What a beautiful book.
Relatable, entrancing & heart wrenching.
As I started reading this I couldn’t stop. Each poem is laced with truth, emotion & creativity.
Definitely a must read for those who have endured hardship & mental illness. It’s so nice to be able to relate to Chelsea’s poems & know that deep down, you’re not alone.

This is a collection where that author dwells into some of her own personal topics like depression and anxiety and we hear her words through these poems.🙈💕
The pieces are so raw and genuine that you can actually feel what is written in front of you. I was sucked in with the first poetry itself. The writing was straight, simple and to the point just how I like it.💖
.
There were definitely some poetry which I wasn't a big fan of but I am sure it will depend from person to person. When you read this collection, you can relate so much with the author herself and about the battles she is fighting with her own self and the world.😭💖
.
You understand what is it actually like to suffer through a mental illness and what its like to live with it.💕 .
I will recommend this collection to anyone who want to begin with poetry because its simplicity makes it really easy for everyone to read it or if you just want to be emotional and have a good cry, check this collection out!!!🤗💖😍

Absolutely beautiful and revealing poems... bring tissues for this one.
This book is for everyone who has ever struggled with depression, or for those who have seen loved ones crumble under its weight. The powerful words remind us of just how vulnerable even the strongest of us are faced with mental illness. And it comes from a place of such honesty... some poems are raw emotion, and you can feel the poet's mental battle full force.
It resonated with me personally, as I've gone through awful depressive episodes. It's always a little unsettling to see your own thoughts on the page (though expressed much better than you could ever pull off). Fair warning, though: it can be very, very dark.

I thought that this sequel to Unspoken Agreement was fantastic. I believe I enjoyed it more than its predecessor! It explores the mind of someone struggling with depression and anxiety. I think that those that do not have these issues can still relate to this poetry in that we all question ourselves at some point. The symbolism, imagery and metaphors are breathtaking. I highly recommend this beautiful and powerful poetry novel!
I look forward to reading more by Chelsea Lena Girard soon!

I recently purchased her poetry books and upon reading them knew I had to highlight them on my blog. Her poetry takes a raw, deep dive into the world of depression and anxiety. Chelsea shamelessly shares her story and experiences like a well-seasoned poet.
Being an anxiety sufferer myself, I found some passages very emotional to read. You can tell, based on the variety of poetry style, that Chelsea has used these books as her therapeutic tool.
The books discuss love, relationships, heart break, depression, suicide and grief. These poems provide a warm reassurance to others suffering that all hope is not lost.
While the books are shorter in page length, they are the kind of books you will continuously return to and reread poems because they were just "that good". They are also stand alone books, so you do not necessarily NEED to read them in order of when they were published, but I do recommend it!
If you enjoy poetry or the "spoken word" videos you see often online; you will enjoy Chelsea's work as well.
I rate each book a 5 out 5 stars!

I was graciously given this as an e-arc by @bibliobeautybooks on IG in exchange for an honest review that I am more than happy to give. It is quite a bit late, but I finally found the moment to truly enjoy it.
I was first introduced to Chelsea’s work with the release of Unspoken Agreement. Without a single doubt in my mind, it was a stunningly beautiful and emotive composition of poetry that truly touched my soul. I didn’t think that I could read anything else that could surpass what I had read in that moment. I was sorely mistaken.
Sincerely, Me is an absolutely soul shattering, emotive, engaging and beyond anything else… realistic. I fell in love with Chelsea’s work because I related to her words so significantly that it hit something within me. This second instalment of her poetry has done exactly that. With each page, my breath was stolen from me more and more. I was speechless with each word. Not to mention that I read through this collection in one sitting and sobbed for the majority of it.
Since reading Unspoken Agreement, I suddenly found myself battling depression alongside the anxiety I have had for over a decade. Reading Sincerely, Me I realised that I am on my own journey, one that Chelsea has not only lived, but has given life to in the form of the written word. Her portrayal of her personal experience of mental illness is unblemished, unhidden. As it should always be. In particular, there was one moment – sincerely, the power of love – that broke me on the inside because it is precisely how I feel. It is always difficult to talk to someone about these things, but there is something different and soothing about the written word.
Her mesmerising words are like the tide. They flow and ebb, they show the good, drawing you in, before retreating and showing you the dark within. This second instalment of poetry is nothing but a miracle – the living proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Proof that regardless of what you go through, how hard and unending it appears to be, there is something better, something good, out there for you.
For all of us.
Chelsea, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I think I have reviewed or thought about poetry since I was in high school, but I'm happy that I went to this journey. Happy, yes. Because the poems touched my heart, but I will get to that in a second.
First of all, I consider Chelsea my friend, my bookstagram friend. I have talked to her and we have exchange some thoughts and experiences. I can't say I know everything about her, or that she knows everything about me, because I believe no one truly knows everything about someone. Nonetheless, when you read a poetry book, especially one as strong and vulnerable as this one, you feel connected.
"Sincerely, Me" is an mind blowing and eye opening book, that is real. It couldn't be more real than it is. It made me so full of emotion. It made me cry, feel empowered, connected, like I wasn't alone, and mostly I felt like it was okay.
I always was a bit ashamed of my past, and that didn't helped me in getting my self-esteem and confidence up and strong. I felt weak, and I was always saying to myself "the past is in the past" and I wouldn't talk about it. It took me almost ten years to learn that talking helps, that talking can help others because maybe that will create connections and feel less alone.
This book and Chelsea's way of writing poetry does that. The way she expresses herself and her experiences touches our hearts and create those connections and in the end by talking about this book, by sharing our thoughts and experiences because Chelsea's poetry opens that platform, we will create a network. And in the end, I hope we can have the support we all need, the understanding without saying much.
Poetry was never my strength, but I love reading it. Chelsea's writing still comes from her heart and that makes it so much powerful and that's one of the many reasons why I loved it. For that, I can't truly review this book, I can only recommend it and hope you all can feel the emotion and connection.
[Thank you Chelsea to let me read your book! Thank you for the eCopy in exchange for my honest review.]

Let’s start off by saying if you want to read this book (which you definitely should), come prepared. You will need a box of tissues, a comfy chair, coffee and most importantly a light because you will be reading this non-stop!
Sincerely, Me is a collection of poems written in the point of view of an anxiety ridden and depressed woman. It covers topics that many people can relate to, such as heart-break, making mistakes and hard times in general.
Sincerely, Me by Chelsea Girard is one of the most powerful books I have ever read, and probably will ever read. For me, this book was heart-wrenching. Admittedly I have gone through stages of slight depression and anxiety, so for me reading a book like this was relieving in a way, because it reinforced the thought that I am not alone.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys poetry, particularly long poems as well as people who are looking for a new and emotional book. But most importantly, I recommend this book to anyone who has experienced anxiety or depression, because I can’t express how relieving it feels to know that others have experienced what you are going through.
I rated this book an 8/10.
Thanks for reading

I can't even with Chelsea! (In a good way. Lol)
She has once again took over my body and made it completely impossible to put this book down even when I really needed to. Which I'm totally fine with.
Her writing is just so amazing and flows so perfectly. It sucks you in and you're no longer reading. The book IS you. I saw myself in so much of this it was mind shattering but it was also.... Helpful? A blessing? Hopeful? I can't tell you how many times my life has made me question so much and wish I wasn't alone going through (whatever) I'm going through.
Chelsea's books have literally changed my life because I'm learning I'm not alone. Not only am I not alone but someone else has gone through the exact same things as me. Everyone deserves this understanding in their life.
Everyone should read these books. If it doesn't change your life, I don't know what will. They are beautiful and perfection.

Thank you so much to Chelsea for providing me with a copy for review. All of my opinions are compleatly my own and not biased.
This book tells a story that means so much to me because it voices a persons struggle with them self. You can see her go through her ups and downs of life and really get a good look at what people go through.
I don’t normally read a lot of poetry but this book really spoke to me. It’s so emotional and raw and just very real. Those are all the things I love in the book.
The reason I only gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5 is that to me I was a bit confused on formatting so I kinda got lost in that.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is struggling with anxiety or depression because it really shows you that there are other people out there that have the same struggles as you.

I read this in exchange for an honest review. I was a little bit worried about reading it because poetry usually isn't something that I like but I wanted to get into it and I am so glad this was the first in my poetry journey. I did not think that I would have been able to fall in love with words anymore than I already was but this has proved me wrong. This little collection of poems made me feel a range of emotions and I often found myself either laughing or tearing up. The fact that I could relate to the majority also made the reading experience better, as did the cute little illustrations throughout. Would absolutely recommend.

Sincerely me is a composition of Chelsea Girard’s struggle with anxiety and depression. The author was kind enough to send this to me to read, and review. However this will not as usual affect how i feel about said book.
The dedication in this book. Okay whoa, thank you this gave me a hopeful smile that things would and will get better. I love reading those, and it’s like having someone looking right into you.
“Hello again, I thought you finally left me alone, but
I was mistaken.
No wonder why yesterday morning tormented me for
hours. I thought i woke up on the wrong side of the bed but you held my throat between your hands and begged
me to stay with you.”
I’m gonna be honest it took me a fair bit to get into the swing of really reading this but as the poems and lines progressed, i really liked the illustrations, though personally i found the drawings and some cases to not as…fleshed out i guess, as i had hoped they would be, maybe like a slow progression of building improvement maybe? I guess to show growth. However these were still pretty endearing, haunting even But that’s just me being persnickety about the artwork, it’s obviously meant to add emphasis to the overall story happening on each page. Which it did and I’m very thankful for it.
Each poem from then on once i started to really get into ended up having all my emotions come crashing down. I felt exsposed then hugged. Even as i rolled onto the ending of this book all i could think of was that i would very much like to own the physical copy, to tab and re-read whenever my emotions took over. I am so thankful to have gotten to read the authours thoughts and feelings alongside her struggle with anxiety and depression. It was so lovely to read about her journey and i hope if you can please check out more of her work!
As I am so excited to see and read more from this author.

As a healthy 16 year old girl, I was bullied and my weight was made fun of . Even though my friends said it was just "good hearted fun", it hurt. I related to most of the poems in the book because I had also been in those situations once. The very first poem in the book it home and I knew then, that this work of poetry will be close to my heart.
I didn't notice anything out of place. The book has been brilliantly edited. The poems have been crafted beautifully. I loved most of them. All of the poems are true & very strong.
Iam at a stage in life where I'm comfortable with my body. I just hoped that some of the poems ended on a positive note? This book tells the naked truth and it is bitter, I get that. But I think if the poems end on a positive note, it would in still some hope in the readers.
I can say without hesitation that atleast 50% of the female population feels insecure about their bodies, are bullied and are not happy with the way they are or the way they look. This book has bought the reality. This book is so raw, so real and so honest. It had my attention from the start to finish and I loved almost all of the poems.

I appreciate books. I also appreciate writers for doing their best at their job. Reading is something that makes me feel alive and I enjoyed every minute of reading this book. I am amazed.😍
Trust me when I say that Chelsea's poetry is relatable and I love it because of that. I swear that I could almost feel everything that she felt while she was writing it and that's the magic. I felt everything. Pain, happiness, joy, power.. I both laughed and cried and it was wonderful.
I haven't read a lot of poetry books except those 2 books written by Rupi Kaur. I love her poetry and I'm really in love with her writing. Just like that I fell in love with Chelsea's writing.
BIGGG RECOMMENDATION!📚❤
