This is a long, drawn out tale that I find out at the end isn’t even the full story. It’s at least a two parter. Won’t bother with the second part. Don’t know if this was self-published, but that would be my guess. The plot is a good one, but it plods along, eventually getting somewhere...after taking forever. The mystery of Violet’s death gets solved, and that’s about it. No romance in this story, even though it has the angst of romance wannabes at a couple of points. It has Randy going up in what seems to be a mentally abusive home...to her anyway, and a grandmother who is a little red riding hood wannabe.
Overall, don’t bother. It took forever to read this book, and I feel like I lost time I’ll never get back over something that was pointless. It had so much potential that just flat out sent to waste.
