Read for Church Book #4 of 2021. Linneman writes in very clear, engaging words what a Biblical community looks like. As someone who believes strongly in the necessity and power of Biblical community, I expected Linneman’s book to be a defense/further examination of that. Instead, it was a strategic book, which is far from a bad thing. The strategies listed made sense and were all (as far as I could tell) based in Biblical principles. Though I don’t find myself in a place where such strategies are particularly applicable, I hope that this book is one I can look back on fondly in the future for advice and strategies for forming stronger Biblical community, but for now, it was a fine read.
Very helpful book for the vision and setup for small group ministry in the local church. I kinda wish there was a little more here in some of the areas. I am giving this book out to all of our Community Group leaders at our church.
The most helpful book on community groups I've read (though I haven't read the exhaustive list). Encouraging, and practical in the areas where help is usually needed most (like group multiplication).
Helpful, gospel-grounded practical helps for those responsible for community groups in the local church. A good primer to use when beginning community groups.
This is a helpful practical read. Some good tips on how to spend the time in a life-group: (1) word and prayer, (2) fellowship, and (3) hospitality. Thought the working through #1 was good.

Deceptively simple, but full of hard-won, practical insights. House and Linneman have both seen and learned a lot over the years, and a careful reader can benefit from their collective insight.
