My passion in life is optimal health and the expression of our human potential. Helping people help themselves is what I do, and what I love to do. My up and coming book Hack Your Health Habits is a product of this passion and philosophy. This book is a collection of almost everything you need to plan your health goals and begin your journey to greater health and wellness.

The twelve sections in this book are based on the questions and health problems I hear and see in my practice every single day. Each is an important piece in one’s overall health and well-being.

What good is information if you don’t put it into action? Too often in my practice, I hear patients say: “I know, I know. I have to exercise and eat better,” and yet they never seem able to act on it. I wanted to create something that didn’t just get you thinking about health, but encourage you to take action and make positive changes.

Really enjoyed this compendium of health tips. I've been exploring and using intermittent fasting in my personal life, and HYHH really clarified some of the principles on how to do it properly and for what reasons. I also enjoyed the detail about the immune system. It can be such a confusing subject to learn about, but Dr. Beauchamp lays out the role and it's function of the immune system in a easy to understand way.

I'm starting to utilize the health hack with the section on the prebiotics and probiotics. Making changes slowly, as is recommended in the book, gives your body time to adjust and the effects are more evident this way. Taking a measured approach to your improved health is more conducive to long term change.

Each section of the book contains a great deal of research and information to back up the suggestions and options available to you. I believe this health bible will become the go-to for good health and will be read and reread many times over...
The next section i will tackle will be sleep.

WOW! I just finished my first read of Hack Your Health Habits by Nathalie Beauchamp and will be going back through it section by section to guide me one step at a time in making positive healthy changes in my life. I actually could not stop reading once I started. The book is informative, educational and motivational without being pushy. It reaches people where they are and gives recommendations for different "levels" of change for so many areas of our lives from diet, to exercise, to toxins in our homes and so much more. This all-in-one resource has inspired me to get back on track on my wellness journey and I am excited to start making positive changes in my life. Hack Your Health Habits will be a book that we will go back to often; for information, guidance and support on being the healthiest versions of ourselves. Happy and healthy reading!

Dr Nathalie has hit the nail on the head with her new Book "Hack Your Health Habits". She has simplified what is normally a complex subject for many people - understanding their health - and clearly explained the steps required to control and alter one's lifestyle to improve it. Not only is this book a must read for anyone who wants to learn how to change their life habits, it should also be in every home as a reference to guide one towards a healthier life, especially in these times of unhealthy living.

In Hack Your Health Habits Dr. Nathalie compiled valuable information that addresses the body from head to toe. Although unfamiliar with many of the ‘medical terms’, I found this an interesting, easy read, and by following Dr. Nathalie’s health tips – your body will thank you . Hack Your Health Habits is a great ‘tool’ to have at your fingertips.

"Hack Your Health Habits" is designed to give women a basic overview of a wide range of health topics, as well as provides helpful tips for living a healthier lifestyle. The format of the book does not require you to read through it in chronological order, but is designed in a way that the reader could easily look through the table of contents and start with the sections that most interest them.

The book hits shelves on October 23rd, but the publisher was kind enough to provide me with an advanced copy. At this point, I have read through Chapter 7 (Protein) and Chapter 8 (Food Labels and Additives), and am making my way through the rest of the book. The rest of my review, though, will focus on Chapters 7 & 8.

The chapter on protein discusses how much protein is necessary for consumption and gives a great overview on the difference between animal proteins and plant proteins. For those who do eat meat the author also makes the argument for eating meat and dairy products that come from grass fed animals.

The chapter does not go super in-depth on the topic. For example, it does not touch on how your protein needs might change if you were pregnant or breast feeding. However, it is a great starting point for understanding why your body needs protein, the best ways to get it, and tips for maintaining an appropriate level of protein in your diet. One of my key take aways in this section was to make sure to eat foods with protein at breakfast.

Chapter 8 is a great introduction to reading food labels. If all the long words on a product's label intimidate you, this chapter will help you learn to navigate through them with ease. If you are already adapt at reading food labels, then you may find the chapter too basic. Overall though, I think most readers will appreciate the way the author simplifies the process of reading food labels, because most of us don't have extra time to spend several hours reading through all the product labels at the grocery store.

Overall, I am really enjoying this book so far, and I think many people will benefit from the information. This is a great book to start with if you haven't done a lot of study on health and nutrition, but those who have already done some intermediate study on the various topics covered will likely still find some helpful takeaways.

This is a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to improve their health - physically, mentally and emotionally. It starts with why habits are important and how to develop them. It covers factors of motivation and time management, which are the 2 main reasons it is difficult to make changes, even ones we know we NEED to make! Each chapter covers a topic about health and well-being, and they can be read in any order. I looked at this from two perspectives: as a consumer, and as a health-care provider. As a consumer, I found the worksheets very helpful to write down the steps I am choosing to make, so I have some accountability to myself and a reference to go back to. Everything was explained in a basic way so it is easy to understand. As a health-care provider, I would absolutely recommend this book to patients! It is well-laid out and easy to read; each topic is explained well so people can follow, and the worksheets are the steps to making the changes personal. It is designed in such a way that people can choose the "level" of change they want to make, and can focus on one area at a time so it isn't overwhelming.
I will definitely be using this book as a reference to making changes in my own life, as well as adding it to my library for patients. Excellent!

There are so many "health" books out there it really takes something unique to stand out and that's where "Hack Your Health Habits" by Nathalie Beauchamp comes in. I loved this book. So much so that I am now on my second read to highlight and note all the goodies I got out of it. Health is NOT one size fits all and the author acknowledges that and stresses while good health is crucial to a good life, the same cookie cutter formula does not work for everyone. She includes three levels of "hacks" so you can make changes and progress at your own pace- not that of the rest of the universe! Each chapter gives into a specific health topic so you can jump around to what you need or want to focus on first or whatever you feel like educating yourself on. Thank you to the publisher and author for an ARC of this incredible resource! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to make big or small health adjustments in their life.

This is a must-have book for everyone! It is packed full of information about your health that will change your life. I love that it has three levels of hacks so that you can take either baby steps or large steps of change, depending on where you are at in your journey. Also, it is not a book that has to be read in order from beginning to end. You can jump into any chapter to learn about that area of your health. This is a book you can read and then keep on hand for when you need to reference a certain health topic. I would recommend this book for men and women at any level, whether they work in a health and wellness profession or are just wanting to make some small changes to better their life.

Dr. Nathalie’s enthusiasm and commitment to helping others cannot be matched. In this book she shares an abundance of health information and a methodology to create action in the reader. No matter where you are on the heath spectrum physically or mentally, this book will raise your level of health consciousness on a variety of subjects. Being a chiropractor and military medic, I particularly enjoyed the section on the brain health and now have more tools to share with my patients with PTSD and concussions to improve recovery. Dr. Nathalie relays an important message that better health is available to all who desire it and she serves as an example of what we can all try to achieve. Bravo Dr. Nathalie!

This is a great book that helps explain different health habits, and how they are just that...habits. It is easy to get caught up in the diets and programs that are offered everywhere we look, but Dr. Beauchamp reminds readers, that real change starts when one establishes habits, and slowly works at them overtime. This is a definitely a book you will want to read with a highlighter or notebook handy, as there are great reminders throughout the book of things that we can each do to increase productivity, wellness, and the number of habits that actually stick. This is a book I will be returning to, and would recommend reading section by section so that it is not overwhelming, and so necessary adjustments can be made.

A one stop complete book written in a way we can understand. No need to hold a PhD to understand it! This book will empower you to take measures to protect and maintain your health. If you are going to read only one book on health and wellness, this is the one!

This book is a precious reference for my family that generates interesting discussions, makes us think, guides us to better choices and makes us adopt better habits. This is the kind of book you read in the order that you feel like, returning to certain sections, taking notes, highlighting, and folding page corners. The subjects are varied and visit many spheres of our modern life.

As a mother of two young teenagers, what a joy to see my kids flipping through some pages, some sections of the book that interest them, at their stages of life. What they learn and remember from this book is important for me and them.

This book is more like a healthy habit encyclopedia, it is a wealth of information! I love the layout of this book because you don’t have to read it cover to cover, you can check the table of contents and skip to whatever area you are wanting to learn more about. There info on various diets, making healthy habits, setting your day up for success, sleep, cooking/cookware, skin care, etc. I truly feel there is a section for everyone! This book would be the perfect addition to anyones library (I’ll keep my with my cookbooks in the kitchen). I found the chapters on intermittent fasting to be interesting and look forward to continuing to explore each section of this book!

Wow! This book is a veritable wealth of knowledge. My science brain loves books like this that explore the science but this goes a step further and takes a very holistic approach to each topic. I loved the background in the introduction so I could understand where she was coming from. I also enjoyed the first section about setting up habits and goals and how to best use this book. I also really enjoyed learning about vitamins and supplements. While I haven’t read the entire book yet, I can for sure recommend it, and I will continue coming back and referencing the book and continuing to learn more.

This book has really opened my eyes to a new understanding of how the body works. I especially found section 8 very helpful for me when it talked about gut health and how the body processes food. Especially how certain foods can negatively impact certain triggers for other things like autoimmune disorders and such. If you are interested in how the body works and how to hack your habits, then you should read this book.
