Children of the Void

Rate this book
Organized Crime lives its golden age in Capitol City, but not for long if the newly formed Zero Tolerance Unit has anything to say about it... Even if it shouldn't be their primary concern.

An elusive cult is brewing something sinister: an ancient ritual that would remove humanity's material form, by opening the Void.

Jonas Hansen is a vigilante who decides to join the ZTU to prove that orphans don't always end up in the Mafia.

Kyra Allison thinks - and often proves - that she is smarter than most people. This doesn't get her many friends in the ZTU, but that is just fine for her.

Until she meets Jonas.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I was not sure what to think when I was first asked to read this book. It was not my normal reach for kind of book, but something told me to give it a chance. I have to say my favorite character is Jonas. He is willing to do what has to be done for himself, Granny, Kyra and those that need it on the side of right. I do like Kyra's way of doing things, but sometimes all of smarts do get her into a bit of trouble and her not wanting to go back and work for her father. This book took me on a journey I did not know that I wanted to go on. I like that the book is told from different points of view that include: Zero, Kyra and Jonas. I am looking forward to reading what comes next.
