The author put Jack's stories together very well, and the book was a wonderful read! While reading it I just had to smile because in my head I could hear Jack talking and joking as if he was sitting across from me! His stories are not only entertaining but also taught me about living a honorable and faithful life throughout the challenges and hardships. It also helped me understand my dad a bit better and what he experienced while serving in Vietnam and after coming home.
Jack, thank you for your service!

My girlfriend gifted me this book for my birthday. It's an interesting account of life by a former Marine aviator, Vietnam War vet, test pilot, and state representative. Colonel Jackson tells of how his life experiences were guided by his Christian faith. I did notice some errors in nomenclature (AH1-G instead of AH-1G, HMX1 instead of HMX-1) and misspelled Pappy Boyington's name (as Boynton), but otherwise this was a very nice account of one man's life in the military, the aerospace industry, in public service, with family, and serving God.

Colonel Jack Jackson is a man of honor, courage, integrity and love of God, family and country. He has soared to the highest heights in his service to his country, courageous missions in Vietnam, and as a test pilot for over 20 years.
I have had the privilege of knowing Jack personally. His story, as recorded by author, Laine Boyd, is exciting to read. It captures the true heart and soul of this outstanding patriot, husband, father and friend.
