This fifth edition of A Practical Approach to Strength and Conditioning is an update of the classic book that has been a widely used resource in the fitness industry since 1989, selling more than 35,000 copies. Most of the chapters have been overhauled with the latest information on strength and conditioning and a 25th chapter -- Evaluating the Research -- has been added.
The book is 396 pages with more than 180,000 words -- which is about 40% more content than the fourth edition -- and 300 photographs. Also included are descriptions of nearly 100 exercises that can be done with free weights, machines and manual (partner) resistance.
