Taking sections of the English coastline, Christopher Winn moves county by county along the coast with historical information provided. Each section is split further into towns within the county, and from there we learn more detailed facts.
It took me a good while to finish this book, as it is the kind you dip in and out of every now and again (I would read a chapter or two and then set it aside for a while), however I did learn a lot from this book; tidbits of historic information.
I enjoyed the formatting of this book and the inclusion of sketches here and there. I am keen to read more within this series of books; I have my eye on the Wales edition next.
