Don't know that I'm gonna finish this one. It's funny. I'll give it that, but thats about it. I'm only twenty pages in, but it ain't along book either. At 187 pages it should be...I don't know....more enthralling. I'll update when I continue to read. Later.

Finally I bailed on this one. It's humorous, I'll give it that. For billing itself as a serious book, it wound up not being what it could have been. If your looking for a cheap thrill, this one is for you.

This reminds me of Andy Zaltzman’s contributions to the bugle podcast, and also of the Lee and Herring radio series Lionel Nimrod’s Inexplicable World. A finer piece of comedic writing than it first appears, the tricksterish tone keeps it mysterious and does much of the essaying on the subject matter. Its also very google-able to find out which of the references are genuine and which are jokes, you can take a deep dive into wikipedia with some of these starting points.

I just did not find it entertaining or educational myself, the author got off track too many times. In the end it seems more of a soapbox for his opinions than fact.

The title makes you think it may be funny but just not to me.
