I was hoping for much more detail, but this 'book' only covers the most minimal basics, all of which are covered in most cross stitch patterns or kits I've purchased. Disappointed and still searching for the book that will help me learn how to map out my stitching when multiple colors are used for a small motif or when stitching letters. I guess I will just keep practicing!
As the title says, this book includes basic instructions for beginners of cross stitching. Also includes references to a few good internet resources. Some typos like the consistent misspelling of Aida cloth.
The explanation on how to do an outline stitch is very lacking. How to do French knot even worse. I was going to give this to my granddaughter, but she is too detailed oriented for this do what you want format.
