No doubt you will have seen or heard about the fervour that surrounded cryptocurrencies in 2017, and many of you may have dismissed them as a legitimate asset class; many may have felt a quiet interest but a looming fear; others undoubtedly felt drawn towards the allure of cryptocurrencies and altcoins (and any of the other innumerable names) yet lacked the framework required to tame this volatile and novel market. To you, I present An Altcoin Trader's Handbook : The exponential growth of the cryptosphere over the previous half-decade has brought with it a plethora of life-changing speculative opportunities. Where traditional financial markets seem inaccessible and ineffectual due to the prevalence of high fees and low returns, the emergence of a worldwide market of decentralised alternatives to Bitcoin allows for those unable (or unwilling) to navigate the often-slippery world of hedge funds and investment banks the chance to realise financial freedom. This, of course, is no effortless journey, and this book does not profess to be a get-rich-quick scheme of any sort. Instead, An Altcoin Trader’s Handbook merges almost five years of tragicomic yet insightful anecdotes on the ever-evolving nature of the cryptosphere with a comprehensive strategy for profitable altcoin speculation. The book focuses on maximising the upside potential of capital whilst diminishing downside risks, both of which are possible with speculation on so-called ‘microcap’ and ‘lowcap’ altcoins, given the application of proper risk management. Above all, the reader will learn, in exhaustive detail, the three-stage process of research, accumulation and distribution that has been the bedrock of my own success in the space. The journey will be intensive – often arduous – but will, with some good fortune, result in an individual most well-equipped to capitalise on the greatest glut of financial opportunity the world has ever seen.
Good read for people specifically looking for small or midcap altcoin trading. Good soind methodology for longer term positions. Very good info on fundamental analysis a bit light on the technical side.
He may consider updating as some of the sites and exchanges he references no longer exists.
Useful altcoin guide. Author starts by telling his own story with bitcoin and specially altcoins trading. First part a bit boring but still curious to check how older traders started.
Passes to fundamental analysis, with things which I didn't noticed before, like rich list exploring.
On technical analysis part, three patterns are cited, no indicators, basically only price-action. Orderbook part is not very clear. I liked the final part with step by step guide.
This book isn't for daytrading, but mainly for mid term tactics. The author does the job nicely.
Interesting book about trading in altcoins, in particular microcaps. The first half of the book is autobiographic and gives you some background, mostly of the variety of 'coin X was new and then pumped and then dumped, and I got in / did not get in on time, and got out / did not get out on time'. Oh and the one time the author's computer was hacked and more than 60% of his coins were stolen. This really is the wild west of investing. The second half goes into a broad variety of tools and techniques, both fundamental and technical analysis, etc.
Good insight on the micro and low cap! It's a process well organized, you'll have to do your own research and see if it works for you. I toke very good stuff out of this book and if this is your thing you'll to. Thank you
Ps: I don't give 5 bcz I believe that 15€ for the book It's worth but not for everyone and If you are making such good money and want to help others it should be way less.
It's a thorough book with solid advice and insight. It's worth the read and should definitely be followed in terms of its general principals. While slightly older, its a good read. I'm curious how Nik Patel might look at more modern defi, altcoins, NFTs, and technologies. At the same time, nothing here is incorrect and its entirely readable.
Great book which outlines the authors strategy in regards to Microcap/Lowcap coin trading. Does a very good job out outlining simple steps which can be taken to identify a coin and at which prices it should he accumulated and sold.
P.S. Most importantly i think it does a good job of contextualising trading crypto and that the space isn't in fact, for the most part, a get rich quick scheme.
A great read for anyone looking to learn and or profit from cryptocurrency trading. It can be difficult to find a truly experienced authority in the crypto space, but Nik is just that. Highly recommended. This will be a classic of the space.
If you have any interest in trading crypto, I’d suggest that this book is pretty much a MUST read - author literally spells out his entire strategy step by step (with no hidden agenda or upsell either). Much better than most crap you’ll read on this subject.
Besides being one of the most untiring, sharing and sympathetic tweeps in the cryptosphere, Nik Patel has also succeeded in producing a well-structured cryptopublication written in a clear-cut language, and therefore giving insight...
Well written and information is well presented in a clear and concise manner . For the beginner it is a must read and will give you the confidence to delve further into the crypto space
An interesting breakdown of his journey in crypto investing. And an interesting bit of biography. Wonder what he's doing during this crypto winter and how well the tips work in the current environment.
