Land of Fire is book 3 in Blackout & Burn the action-packed, apocalyptic EMP survival thriller series about courage, love and loyalty pushed to the limits in extraordinary and life-threatening circumstances.
I found this book very difficult to put down. it makes you pray that this type of situation never happens in this country. This book also makes you realize how it could happen. This author is amazing in her ability to write in such a way that it really makes you get involved and think about what could happen.
Ms. Fernfield has another winner in the latest book in this fantastic saga. Jesse is a trained fighter and killer. She's not someone you would want to anger. There are terrorists taking advantage of an EMP in their attempts to take over the country. Jesse has a group of people like herself that won't let this happen. What follows is their battle to take back the government. This series is just that good that I would recommend them to anyone.
An incredibly well written third instalment to a fantastic post apocalyptic story. The world has been thrust in to the dark ages by an EMP but it does not stop terrorists from burning people in their beds. Food is scarce and there is little fresh water as humanity shows it's true colours. There are those that fight for survival and those that fight to save them all. Heroes rise from the devastation but will their voices be loud enough to hear? Nobody is safe anymore.
This book once again takes us on an exciting ride through a land that is plagued by terrorist and their extremist ideologies. The fundamental “good” in people rise to the surface and in particular Bill and Sam shine such a positive light considering both of them are fighting past demons. However, like all good stories there are those that let their baser instincts rule which sets up the conflict beautifully. In times of crisis everything we take for granted is no longer and it only makes one consider how I would cope and what would I do ?
I enjoyed reading this story. It is a story about redemption and survival, not just surviving though but retaining your humanity under great difficulty.
