Moody had had it all once, and had lost it in a heartbeat. Now he goes through life as a cold, heartless nomad. A man to avoid and be afraid of, uncaring that each day could be his last. He gives a fuck about nothing and no one, until an innocent woman appears out of nowhere, unafraid of his fury, challenging his demons, making him want to live again. Is he strong enough to let her into his heart?
Excerpt - "Did he hurt you?"
He snarled the words at me, causing me to flinch at the rage behind them. I knew what Moody was asking--hurt was a nicer word than rape. We both glanced down at the ground where my ruined panties were lying in a dirty, oil-soaked puddle. The man that he'd pulled off of me was laying face-first against the concrete, moaning low. I was sure that at the very least, his nose was broken.
I shook my head, still trying to make sense of the last five minutes. Moody frightened me more than the man who had tried to rape me, and yet he'd been the one to rescue me.
He let out a harsh sigh, as if the whole situation was a big inconvenience to him. "The words, Bailey, I need the f**king words."
"No, he didn't get that far." I was so freaking embarrassed, and I blamed myself for what had almost happened. I'd come out there willingly with Corey, not realizing that he'd been too drunk to listen to reason until it had been too late. "What would you have done if he had?"
He stood staring at me for a long minute, his jaw clenched tight and his eyes pinned on me like twin lasers. He showed no signs of having just been in a fight. "He wouldn't be getting up from that pavement."
I caught my breath. I believed him. I didn't know Moody well, but I'd heard people talk. They'd said he was a secretive man, who lived alone out in the desert. That he didn't like people and he didn't make friends. They'd said it didn't take much to set him off. That he went through life always seeming to be angry about something.
He was dangerous.
He was unpredictable.
He was someone to stay away from.
The trouble was that I worked at his bar.
Finally, he snapped, "Come on, get on." He mounted his bike.
My jaw dropped, because I was sure that I hadn't heard him right. Why would he want me to get on his bike? I had to admit, though, that the thought of riding behind Moody kind of intrigued me. From the moment that I'd met him there'd been something about him that had fascinated me, apart from his hot, rugged looks.
"Why?" It was the only word that I could manage to get out.
"You came out here for a little sex in a back alley, I'm going to f**k you on my bike."

Coming soon! Book 3, Tank, in my The Biker Next Door series
Having met Moody in the previous books of Nomad Outlaws,i was curious why he was the way he was. And finding out...it hurt,a lot. Losing not only a wife, but losing a child too? That’s enough to scar a man.... So,when he decided no more love,i could understand....at least for the years it takes to recover from such a loss. Treating women the way he did? It felt like he was punishing them for his loss in a way. Until Bailey came along.
She stirrs something in him, something he fights, tooth and nail. Bailey doesn’t know what to make of her boss,sorry...ex-boss. Because the first thing he did when he found her as his bartender,is fire her ass. She looks too young. She looks to hot. She is trouble, and he knows it.
Only Bailey keeps coming back.... She has no choice, her bestie has been kidnapped to make sure she steals something from Moody. Only it all goes wrong, and once Moody knows the whole story,he takes over. Including taking Bailey..... If only he could stop thinking about her afterwards.
Once Bailey learns why Moody is the way he is,things start to make sense. What to do with that knowledge, that is the question.... Getting kidnapped herself wakes Moody up though, and makes him think.
Whilst i enjoyed the story,i had trouble with the hot and cold between Moody and Bailey. He treats her like shit one moment, and can’t keep his hands off her the other. She says this is the last time, but grabs him the next. I know he liked her attitude, her sass, but he hurt her just the same. And knowing it as he did it... A very challenging read, that’s for sure!

My review ....
We meet Becket James (Moody) in the last book (dangerous) he owns a bar, But is also a biker, a nomad, no affiliation with another motorcycle club. He goes when and where he wants.
He loved someone once, and she died, so his heart is now protected by a wall of ice. We find out more through the book. He isn’t happy when he finds an underage girl working his bar, and fires her on the spot. Then taking his anger out on one of the “Willing” waitresses (she’s had her eye on him for a while) and when the red head leaves, but catches moody and the waitress going at it in his office !!! ..... sparks fly !!!! He can’t get her out of his mind, but that doesn’t stop him from having fun with the waitress (well, he had a need, she was willing, so he “did her”) cold and clinical !!!! Just the way he likes it, the way he now operates, he does need anyone anymore, he can’t afford, nor want to invest in anyone anymore.
Bailey needed a job, and being fired from the last one she was still smarting, she was a hard worker and she thought she was doing ok, but being told your an underaged innocence would be laughable (she isn’t underage and she certainly isn’t an innocent) and catching her boss screw a waitress over his desk shouldn’t have turned her on ..... but it did !!!
Bailey and moody come to verbal blows again as she’s out one evening with a friend and visits the old bar, seeing her old work mate struggling with customers, Bailey steps in and gives a hand ..... but who turns up ? The boss, it doesn’t go down well, and as he drags her to his office to shout at her some more, a kiss is thrown in the mix (moody doesn’t kiss, and he never faces the women he has sex with)
The storyline has Bailey trying to befriend Moody, she needs something from him, otherwise a close friend will get hurt. Will she be able to find what she’s looking for ? And if Moody finds out she’s only pretending to like him how will he take it ?
Furious is book 3 in the Nomad Outlaw Trilogy by Tory Richards. I have read all 3 books in the series. I have to admit that Dangerous was my favorite book out of the 3, but Furious and Ruthless which is book 1 is good also. I really enjoyed this series and liked Tory Richards take on the Biker Life. A lot of the things she has written about biker is spot on and I know this because I have seen it first hand. I married a biker after all, and have known quite a few bikers, both in clubs and not.
This series is about Nomad Bikers, which are Bikers without a club. They do things their own way but are friends with multiple MC's.
This book features Moody. He lives life on his own terms, for the most part he is more then just a Nomad in life as well as being a Nomad biker. He lives in the desert on a dead end road and his closest neighbor is 30 miles away. He owns a strip club but hardly ever shows up their, letting his staff run the place. When he does go and sees Bailey behind the bar he tells his manager Tommy to fire her on first site. There is just something about her that immediately draws Moody to her tiny sweet looking redheaded self.
When Bailey's best friend is kidnapped and the ransom is a SD card that Moody has Bailey has to find a way to get the card to save her friend. If she makes it out alive will she loose her heart in the process. Will Moody change his Nomad lifestyle and let Bailey in?
“Furious” brings us an interesting character. Moody is our third nomad and also a bar owner. He meets Bailey, hired by one of his most trusted employees to help around. What’s his reaction? Fires her. Yup, he fires her. He doesn’t think she’s able to hold her ground in a bad frequented by bikers and other dangerous people. When she is blackmailed to steal something from Moody, they begin a sort of game, in which everyone has to lose. Some their heart, others even more.
The story is very interesting, but what makes it even better is Moody. We know from the other books that he is not the talking kind and he has a past that still bothers him. His issues melted my heart and I have all my respect for him and for what he’s been through. Bailey and her getting involved with the wrong people was a little forced. With Moody’s influence, the situation could have ended a lot faster.
So with all my liking of the characters, I cannot overlook the small flaws we have in the action. Definitely “Furious” is better that “Dangerous”, but it does not come close to “Ruthless”. We see a more reserved biker, one that is afraid of lowering his guard and that is what makes this book special.
4 stars for Book 3 and my appreciation to the author for creating such a beautiful character, with such a great mix of emotions.
Having read the previous stories in the Nomad Outlaw Trilogy i had been waiting for Moody and to see what made him tick, now i know, he had a heartbreak and didn't want to go through it again but then he met the Irish spitfire, Bailey and doesn't know what hit him. I loved this book and i couldn't put it down.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
This book was an enjoyable read. The story was very well written and held my attention from page one. Moody and Bailey had loads of great chemistry. Loads of MC action thrown in the mix. I would recommend this book to others. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from an advanced reader copy.
I have yet to read a book by Tory Richards that I did not enjoy. In the third book of the Nomad Outlaws trilogy we have a moody biker(aptly named Moody) and a fireball aka Bailey, an Irish lass. What's not to love? A clash of wills, a mutual attraction, and danger. What more could you ask for? I received an arc for my honest review.
I loved Moody and Bailey...this was such a good story...one thing puzzled me though...a small thing it did not distract from the book...Desert Rebels were the club right? Who was the Desert Devils that at one point Holly was staying at? Was it a typo did I miss something... Hmmm...anyway 5 stars!!!
This was good. Wasn’t crazy about Moody at first but he got better. Also, kind of felt a bit disconnected from the plot of the story. I feel like there should have been more information given but still not a bad read.
Moody wanted to stay distant and alone, but the feisty red head behind his bar serving drinks is going to rock his world. He just doesn’t know it yet! Great storyline with twists and turns. Definitely recommend this book!
