Love Hurt Repeat is the kind of book I love reading – the kind in which there comes a time when you want to shake both main characters and knock some sense into them. And oh, were there enough times I wanted to do that!

Like others pointed out the relationship described in this novel does have a high level of toxicity so if you choose to read it, be prepared.

This is not a standalone, so chances are you have already read Love Hate Repeat. The second installment is more emotionally intense, more varied as a narrative and a lot darker. The lack of communication between Kell and Damian is horrifying and leads them down a very dangerous path.

At one point I honestly wanted to throw the book away but at the same time I wanted to keep reading to see how Kell and Damian were going to get through the mess they were creating for themselves. This was also the point where I fully realized it was an amazing book. Yes, by then I already liked many things about it but the conflicting feelings I had sealed it.

I couldn’t let it go. Just like Kell can’t let go of Damian and sinks deeper into a sort of disintegration of his own self, having as his only goal to make Damian happy, not always in the right ways.

I can’t prepare you enough for this book, although I can also tell you that the ending is gut twisting and abrupt, dark and completely open.

I don’t know what the author has planned for the next instalment, if it can ever be Love Heal Repeat for Kell and Damian a or she is going to surprise us with something else, but I’ll be waiting for it, hoping that they would straighten up their skewed love.

A word on the writing style: marvelous! Vivyan Lynne has a way to bring us so close to the characters that we can see through their eyes, fell what they feel and empathize with them even when we don’t understand them.

With all said, I can still highly recommend the LHR series for the emotional intensity and the great writing.

A 4 star review for The Blogger Girls

OH MY GOD! Here I thought book one was a little dysfunctional, and I naively chalked that up to lack of maturity and stupidity of age, but Oh, My, GOD. Whereas book one was the beginning of a not-so-healthy relationship, this installment was pure toxicity. And it ends on such a horrible cliffhanger that I am pulling my hair out wanting the next book. Which, by the way, sounds like things might be making a positive turn considering the title is Love HOPE Repeat. But seriously, I am almost afraid to keep reading because at this point I don’t see how these two boys (they are definitely not acting like men) can recover from the ending of this book.

In the first book I was unprepared for the darkness I was walking into, but it was pure white light compared to this one. Honestly, how is it possible to love someone so completely but treat them like crap…on both sides. Both Damian and Kell struggle with communication skills, and both need their heads knocked together. I am still in shock over the ending of this book, but I shouldn’t be because the entire story was leading up to some big showdown. I just didn’t expect that!

Now, this may sound like I didn’t like the book, but that is false. It is written really well, I just didn’t expect that it was truly a road map on how not to treat your boyfriend. Anyway, you will need some pretty thick skin to read this series and lots of praying that Damian and Kell either grow up, or split up permanently. Considering I don’t know this author, I have no idea where she is leading us, I can only hope that we get some type of closure in the next book because neither these boys, nor the reader (me), can take much more.

This book is well written and does have a different feel to book 1, which fits in as a lot happens to Kellen and Damian. There's so many issues between these two and not nearly enough communication. It was emotional to read in places, but it's their story and I am going to read book 3 immediately after.

Oh my god! After the minor drama of the first book the sequel is the definition of "that escalated quickly!"

The whole feel of this book is darker than the first with each small moment building to culminate in...that ending. For the entirety of the final 2 chapters I was muttering "holy shit" to myself.

I absolutely loved hearing Damian's side of things in this book. The switching between main characters really added to the frustration at both of them and showed how people can view the same situation so differently and why communication is so important in any relationship.

This book kept me turning the page, even as I cursed the characters and became increasingly frustrated with their terrible, immature attitude to relationships.

As frustrating as it was to read, I felt it accurately portrayed the kind of thought processes and drama that happen in late teen/early adulthood. That frustration that I'm sure many parents feel watching their kids go through first relationships and life mistakes is, I'm sure, similar to what I felt reading Love, Hurt, Repeat.

I really enjoyed the book, although enjoy feels like the wrong word in this instance! It had a powerful, underlying message and was very well written.

There is definitely a fine line between love, dependence, illness and abuse.
These two young men are struggling as individuals, but add in the pressures of a new relationship and family and college demands, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Since neither has the ability to express their feelings or for the other to pick up on clues given, even when they are cries for help, the ending is almost inevitable.
Stay close to your friends... they may be the only ones who can break through the pain you find yourself experiencing.
Go to a counselor and ask for help.
Only take medication as a last resort...since your might be changing one addiction for another.
And, yes, you can find yourself addicted to another person...even if the relationship turns out to be toxic for your health...and theirs.
This is not the ending...there is more ahead.

This one was a little harder for me to read. The 2 mc’s have too many issues. I felt ping ponged all over the place. They story lacked something. The story was dark and depressing for me. A lot of drama, and I like drama but too much. The story line did get better at the end, but we were left with a cliffhanger.
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

The first book already pictured a less than ideal relationship between Kell and Damian and in this second installment the negativity really escalates. Those two have big issues, the book is really dark and depressing in parts and their relationship is most definitely not healthy.
If you're looking for some sweet and fluffy read, this is not the book for you. But on the other hand it is really intense and captivating and after the HUGE and horrible cliffhanger I will definitely read the conclusion to this not really average relationship and I'm really curious how the author will bring those two around...
Once again 3.5 stars from me :)
