An interesting fact about these stories is their year of composition, circa 300 BCE. A traveler from Persia came to India for hidden gems went away with these stories instead, 200 years later a heretic from Arabia translated these stories into Arabic which later impacted succeeding literature of the Arab world, the original composition is lost so is the Persian translation but the remaining Arabic translation got copied several times and reached Europe came back to India and completed a full circle.
When I got to know the fact that these stories are almost 2500 years old I immediately decided to revisit.
Stories are narrated in the form of a nested loop and are full of worldly wisdom,

इसे ऑडिबल की ऑडियोबुक पर सुना। पसंद आया। इसके पहले बस बचपन के समय अलग किताबों पर पंचतंत्र के बच्चो के लिए बने संस्करण को ही पढ़ा था, पहली दफा मालूम हुआ की पंतंत्र में भी अरब की रातों की कहानियों कू तरह के कहानी के अंदर कहानी की परंपरा है। ज्यादातर कहानियाँ उन्ही बचपन में पढ़ी हुई कहानियों का विस्तृत रूप थी। कुछ अन्य नयी और अनूठी भी थी। ऑडियोबुक जबरदस्त है। आप भी सुनिए!

Simple stories which you can relate to and apply their learnings in daily life. For me It is one of the important literary works among other Indian literatures.

This is the classic version of the book Panchatantra. Meant very well for adults.The book is very well written, very relevant and the writer perfectly pictured the anatomy of behaviors of different subjects at a single event. 👏 👌
