Years of ministry have given Mary Southerland an influential platform from which to touch women serving God—whether through home and family, by leading a Bible study, via a staff position at church, or as a pastor’s wife. A great personal or staff resource.
I've read Ms Southerland's daily devotionals she's written before and really enjoyed them; so was looking forward to reading some of her books. This is one of the first ones I"ve read. I got about a quarter of the way through and just couldn't get through it. Usually books like this although 'geared' toward miniters wives, teachers, etc everyone still could enjoy it. But I found this to be more just for that group of people. Mainly for Ministers and or Minister's wifes. Those that are really influenced on a daily basis of expectations of others.
The chapters also are quite long; so if you don't have at least an hour at a time to sit and read this then you can't completely get the full effect of what she's trying to get across. And maybe that's why I didn't-couldn't get into it completely. As I only had about 30 minutes and only could read about half a chapter at once
