Barring the errors which can be attributed to its time of publication, Goldberg's Major Noah still remains the definitive biography on Mordecai Manuel Noah.

Jonathan Sarna's Jacksonian Jew, while not necessarily a companion piece to this book, is the only existing follow-up to this work, and as thus, I believe, should be read in its succession.
