After reading this book, I came away, not with an appreciation for the Far East; but rather, disgust at the author. He is a racist, a bigot, a xenophobe, and a pretentious blowhard who drones on and on in his attempts to wax poetical in order to show off his supposed intellect. This book was just a disgusting display of prejudice and ego.
