Management Education as a discipline is geared towards enhancing employability of students. This requires inculcating skills such as problem solving. Apart from theoretical and practical learning, an important aspect of any classroom exercise is teaching-learning through case study method. The Case Study method of learning stimulates the students to integrate classroom-learning into problem-solving. This book is based on internship based case studies wherein student-interns of business and management courses have described first-hand experience of the challenges faced by a business, and the multifarious ways in which these problems are addressed by the management. Learning to independently take decisions, identifying and solving problems, interpreting various business frameworks and application of classroom learning are some key outcomes for an intern. Guidance from mentors from the internship organization and teaching faculty enriches the students’ learning outcomes. The student intern is a live conduit between academic teaching faculty and practising industry mentors. Engaging with student interns can be a fruitful experience for the faculty mentors in understanding evolving management practices. This book will be useful not only to teacher educators and students but also practicing managers, thus acting as a bridge between teaching-learning and the art of managements.
