Tip 41: "Preserve your mind"
Choose well what you allow into your home, into your mind, and into your life. Whenever we read a book or watch a movie, we drink from the spirit of that author or screenwriter. The same principle applies to listening to the news, soap operas, songs, and so on.

Tip 37: "Don't try to find out what other people are saying about you"
Do what God expects of you and let people say what-ever they want. The Lord Jesus already warned us that those who follow Him will suffer persecution and injustice for His name's sake. So don't worry about these conversations. And if by any chance you do hear them, don't set your heart on those words. Whatever takes your attention away from God weakens your faith.
