Darcy Rescues
*** Trigger Warning and spoiler alert ***
There is a brutal physical attack against Elizabeth by Wickham in this story, but thankfully stopped before the worst can happen.
In this P&P novella, Mr. Bennet suddenly dies while Elizabeth is visiting the Collinses in Kent and Jane is in London with the Gardiners. Without her husband there, Mrs. Bennet decides she no longer wishes to reside at Longbourn and hies her family off to Brighton determined to marry them all off to officers. Lydia’s mischief nearly results in a great disaster.
I loved the ending. Well played, Mr. Darcy.
