one of my favorite quotes:
"Often poverty, illness, ignorance, and other "internal and negative constraints" are themselves the indirect results of deliberately imposed and modifiable social arrangements" (p. 9).

A great book to read, analyze, and debate over.

Only the two chapters on criminal law theory/punishment are worth reading for Feinberg provides a concise summary of his 'moral limit of criminal law' project. In other chapters, Feinberg is too analytical and often unclear.
