Roderick Langmere Haig-Brown (February 21, 1908 — October 9, 1976) was a Canadian writer and conservationist, who is acclaimed internationally for his writing on fly fishing.
A tremendous book. A compilation of little stories that depicts canadian culture very well in the early 1900's. His love of nature good ethics, animals and interesting people is full of life lessons which are still good today. A must read for anyone who appreciates living in the bush and in natural resource based communities. His story endings are abrupt but totally enjoyable
