Often using found objects, Lucas provokes viewers with works that challenge our notions of gender, sexuality, and identity. Featuring eight essays and an interview with the artist, this volume reveals the breadth and complexity of Lucas's work in sculpture, photography, and installation over the past three decades.
Last shift at the Hammer: security is so nice and I love them and they gave me this to read. There’s a lot of text so I more so skimmed than read it, but it was pretty cool to learn more about Sarah Lucas and her art after standing around it for hours, for over 2 months. She’s really got a one of a kind brain.
