Financial Modeling Basics for the Small Business is focused on developing a financial model that will qualify for funding. Financial modeling is used by corporations to resolve funding challenges. Financial modeling helps a lender understand where the business is going, how it's going to get there and what to expect in the way of results. Financial Modeling Basics for the Small Business explains the Startup Funding Model and illustrates how to define fixed expenses, set up a payroll budget and forecast sales. The financial modeling handbook reveals how to measure financial performance and develop solutions to profit and cash flow issues and illustrates how to assess the probability of loan approval with a Sensitivity Analysis.

One good thing is that it didn't get mired in the finer details of accounting, which aren't that important if you are a manager.
