Every famous classic novel was once a hand-written manuscript into which its author poured his or her heart and soul. These manuscripts, full of raw passion and life, have the power to bring characters to life when they're read aloud. For over a century, protecting these manuscripts from those who would use their infamous villains to wage war on humanity has fallen upon the shoulders of the Adkins Family. Now, with his parents killed and grandfather kidnapped, Shay must take up the mantle of The Keeper and protect the Books of Power from the worst threat yet.

Hello. My name is Heath Amodio. I’m a writer from Upstate New York. (Yes, there’s more to NY than the city. Just don’t ask people that live in the city.) I live with my amazingly spoiled dog Bella, and far too many comic books. Is that a thing?
I’ve been a fan of fiction ever since my mother read me my first Hardy Boys book. I quickly transitioned from the Hardy Boys, Superfudge, Pippi Longstocking, and Treasure Island to Stephen King’s IT thanks to an aunt that clearly wanted to terrify me. It became my favorite novel, and one that I’ve read a dozen times. It’s kind’ve become a Mel Gibson must buy every copy of Catcher In the Rye type of situation. I won’t scare you off by telling you exactly how many different versions I own. 😳
My first taste of success was when I and five other writers had our comic books chosen for publication through Marvel's open submissions call. I’ve recently started a company called Hustle and Heart Films, where I work with 9 publishers and some of the greatest writers in the world, to help turn their books and comics into TV shows and movies. I’m absolutely humbled to be working with writers like Joe Lansdale, Cullen Bunn, Linda Addison, Greg Pak, Nancy Collins,, Brian Keene and more. We have 5 shows in development.
