Wow, I didn’t see the plot coming at all.. I felt like Ted was like this sweet man but then he turns out to be such a vicious and sly guy part of the druggy team. Some father figure he is🤦‍♀️! Rose and Fish are such good friends and they are an always and forever type of thing.. But that book was so good. The tension and me holding my breath hoping she wouldn’t get caught gosh that felt like a real rollercoaster. Great author Alan is…

Two teenagers find a ring at the scene of a murder. They have to decide whether to use it to get back at the drug dealers who likely committed the murder or hand it in to the police. But things are never as simple as they could be.

This book, suitable for mid-teens and older, is quite hard-hitting in it's subject matter – murder, drug dealers and the way drugs can destroy users' lives. The plot is tightly paced and the two main characters are under pressure from all sides. Ros, the protagonist, is a little spiky and it's hard to empathise with her despite all the right ingredients being there.

This isn't a bad book, it just didn't grab me.
