Who doesn't love a spunky single woman of the 1900's? Lovely enough to turn a head and smart enough to solve a few murders., Kat Livingston is a heroine in the first Willow Woods Mystery Book. All the characters are true to life inhabitants of a small town with a small town newspaper of which Kat is the secretary to the editor. And when the paper is sold she makes her move to become a reporter, submitting a human interest story to the new editor. Proving her worth as an investigator, Kat, and the editor look for clues together.
Kat Livingston is quite the crime solver. An energetic young woman, determined to make a career of becoming a newspaper reporter. The backdrop is an upcoming wedding, beset by jealousy and intrigue. Only the ending is a little too long, after the villain has been revealed. Still a very good read!
