A comic book writer and erstwhile artist. He has won critical acclaim (including five Eisner Awards) and is one of the most successful writers working in mainstream comics. For over eight years Bendis’s books have consistently sat in the top five best sellers on the nationwide comic and graphic novel sales charts.

Though he started as a writer and artist of independent noir fiction series, he shot to stardom as a writer of Marvel Comics' superhero books, particularly Ultimate Spider-Man.

Bendis first entered the comic world with the "Jinx" line of crime comics in 1995. This line has spawned the graphic novels Goldfish, Fire, Jinx, Torso (with Marc Andreyko), and Total Sell Out. Bendis is writing the film version of Jinx for Universal Pictures with Oscar-winner Charlize Theron attached to star and produce.

Bendis’s other projects include the Harvey, Eisner, and Eagle Award-nominated Powers (with Michael Avon Oeming) originally from Image Comics, now published by Marvel's new creator-owned imprint Icon Comics, and the Hollywood tell-all Fortune and Glory from Oni Press, both of which received an "A" from Entertainment Weekly.

Bendis is one of the premiere architects of Marvel's "Ultimate" line: comics specifically created for the new generation of comic readers. He has written every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man since its best-selling launch, and has also written for Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men, as well as every issue of Ultimate Marvel Team-Up, Ultimate Origin and Ultimate Six.

Brian is currently helming a renaissance for Marvel’s AVENGERS franchise by writing both New Avengers and Mighty Avengers along with the successful ‘event’ projects House Of M, Secret War, and this summer’s Secret Invasion.

He has also previously done work on Daredevil, Alias, and The Pulse.

I think this is the last issue of the Invincible Iron Man run, but man has it been a great run! We know that this isn’t the end of Iron Man, obviously, since his series is getting rebooted alongside the Avengers and a dozen others. It looks like many of the plots and characters introduced in this series will continue on in their own way as well, which is fantastic.
Also apparently this is an anniversary issue, which explains why there are so many people involved in it. You can check the description if you want, but it includes people like Brian Michael Bendis (I’ll miss his writing for Marvel), Jim Cheung, David Marquez, Mike Deodato Jr., Mark Bagley, Leinil Francis Yu, Daniel Acuna, and I can’t keep listing names off like this. But it’s a lot of people! All of whom have famously helped to shape Iron Man over the years, which is why it’s so cool to see them all working together like this.
This issue wraps up a lot of the concerns and questions that they’ve been dancing around for so long, so don’t worry there won’t be any nagging cliffhangers. I’m actually really relieved about that. Whenever I hear about a series reboot I get anxious that the plot won’t be fully resolved in time.
While I’m content in knowing that Tony’s plot is going to continue on as expected, I’m really curious about many of the other characters of this series. What will happen to Riri and the team she’s recently started working with? It sort of seems like that group will be getting their own series, but I’m not certain about that. And what about Doctor Doom? He’s got a few plots still up in the air, from the obvious (his character changes) to the concerning (his ex and their child). I do hope that plot carries over into another arc, and I’m not feeling terribly fussy for which one it’ll be.
There are a ton of cameos in this issue, but most of them are the same characters that have been showing up for a while now (Riri, Mary Jane Watson, Blade). There are a couple of surprises too, but I’ll let you read those on your own.

Apa sih yang nggak mungkin terjadi di komik?

Rhodey yang gugur di Civil War II saja bisa hidup kembali. Untung dia tidak jadi zombie, meskipun jadi sama gundulnya dengan Tony. Mungkin teknologi resurrection Tony masih perlu sedikit perbaikan.

Kalau dipikir-pikir komik Invincible Iron Man ini jadi seperti komik Dragon Ball. Sahabat tewas dibunuh Thanos? Cincayy... Sekalian saja hidupkan lagi semua korban Civil War II deh, bukan cuma Rhodey.

Dan apa-apaan endingnya, tuh? Alternatif plot cerita masa depan selain rencana kerjasama Iron Man dengan Leonardo da Vinci? Atau masih nyambung?

My name is Doctor Anthony Stark. But I am the sorcerer supreme.

Hm... rupanya kalau jadi sorcerer supreme, gelar doktor memang wajib disebut-sebut.

Bring it on, Marvel!

It felt like Bendis tried to do way too much in his Marvel farewell tour in this book. This story is a hot mess with a lot of incongruent parts. Many questions were asked throughout the reading of this book, but none more so than, “Why?”!

Slightly overwhelming, but I like that so much story was packed in here. I am really bummed about Doom though.

A fair ending to Bendi's tenure at Marvel. It's positive, optimistic and has all the failings of Bendis usual writing.

there are so many plot points that will need following in the new series i am beyond excited to see what the new writer is gonna do with all these different paths and arcs and so many characters. im mostly happy that rhodey is back and reunited with tony. i am also very intrigued about doom’s story, he has potential to become a great anti hero like magneto yet marvel has always decided on the tyrannic super villain for him so lets see especially now that slott is gonna write both IM and FF.
