Transition metal oxides constitute an important class of inorganic materials with fascinating structures and properties. Many technologically important materials are oxides. The topic is hot at least because of the electronic industry (semiconductors) and the work on superconductors.
The authors are worldclass highly respected scientists. Being an authored text, name recognition will be a feature for selling it. The topic has not been reviewed systematically in a long time, although review articles have appeared regularly in the literature. This monograph will provide a tutorial overview of the topic, as well as be a useful handbook/guide.
