Her only chance to make the event a success depends on the town veterinarian, Ethan Daniels, the first man she ever loved. Ethan has never forgotten her betrayal, but for the sake of the dogs, can they put the past behind them and find forever?

His Proposal, Their Forever

Bailey Cole can’t believe the Broughton Inn, where she runs an art gallery and holds her painting classes, has been sold. She dislikes the handsome new owner, Justin McMillian, on sight. He wants to demolish the inn to build a new one. Not on her watch. But when they find an injured dog, Bailey sees a whole new side of him. Maybe he’s not so bad…

I really enjoyed this anthology.
There are two stories included both dealing with dogs.
The 1st is Still the One by Michelle Major. We meet Lainey who left town many years ago and has not been back since. She has to come home to help her mother who has had a stroke and is unable to run the annual animal adoption fare. There is one big problem, she has to work with Ethan - the man she left at the altar. She also has to deal with her own relationships with her mother and sister. As she gets involved and beginnings seeing her mum and sister every day, she learns more things about them and their relationships.
I don't want to say much more as I don't want to spoil the story.
Would recommend.

The 2nd is His Proposal, Their Forever by Melissa McClone. We meet Bailey, she is an artist and also the chair of the town historical society. When the Inn is sold and the new owner wants to tear it down ,she hurries to the Inn to stop him. Justine is annoyed with the stoppage and is under pressure from his family to get the job done.
Unbeknown to them both, the previous owner of the Inn has sold it to not only Justin but to Bailey's cousin - he bought it for Bailey. As they wait to find out who really owns the Inn their relationship develops, especially when they rescue a stray dog.
Again I don't want to say much more or I will spoil the story.
Would recommend.

Both these authors are new to me and I will be reading more of their work.
