For any child who wants to learn about planets, this series of books is great. Pluto, however, is outdated.

Pluto is, obviously, no longer a planet. This book is unfortunately written before this change was made official so it could be misleading or confusing. However Brimner does mention that there has always been a possibility of Pluto being renamed as a dwarf planet.

The book begins describing what a planet is. This sections contains a lot of history on the study of planets. Brimner then goes on to discuss what is known about Pluto. In the back of the book there is a "Quick Facts" section for the planet's stats.

The photos in the book are great. There are photos of planets and stars as well as photos of astronomy tools.
