4.5 These teen girls were definitely survivors. They went thru more turmoil than the average adult. Storyline & gruesome murder scenes kept me reading to see how this would end.
This author is causing me to lose sleep on a regular basis these days. I had to calm myself down from palpitations while reading the end. Those poor girls got dealt such a bad deal and really looked forward to their future after leaving that terrible girls home. I totally fell in love with Kason. He won my heart early on in this story. All I can say is that this is extremely graphic so for the fluffy readers you may want to skip this one and for the ones that think they can handle it , you’re gonna love it. I definitely need a part 2. I’m all in my feelings over this story. Very good read!
I really enjoyed this book. I’m not going to say too much because I will definitely give the story away. It was good from start to end. Shameek did his thang once again. I really enjoy reading his books
This was giving scary movie mixed with Law & Order SVU. The suspense definitely kept me on my toes. Wasn’t the ending I was expecting at all, but not in a bad way. This was a great short read
Ok, a few things about this story: 1) it's a good story and quite the interesting read, but it isn't as well written as other works from this author. 2) There's things about the story that do not make sense. Such as Kenya being of money yet not protected even within State custody. Money talks, therefore her brothers should have been able to pull the necessary strings to get her out. 3) Morgan was the bravest because she sacrificed herself physically to save the others by paying the ultimate price: life and 4) Taylor should have walked out the second she signed her emancipation paperwork. The facility was being closed for negligence so what could have really have done? Nothing!
The gory details are award worthy because I could picture it in my mind and be terrified, curious and deeply satisfied all at the same time!!
This was a wild and crazy story but it will keep you guessing. For some odd reason I wasn't too surprised by the culprit who was actually behind the demented and sickening thing's going on in this group home. I did not feel bad for Brown or Adler. What happened to those two bastards needed to happen. Taylor Morgan, and Kenya had been through hell and back. It's sad what was happening to them. These three young ladies possessed a strength in them unlike no other. However they had no clue they would end up in a middle of a massacre fighting for their own lives.
Helping Hands alright, the way those sick twisted counselors helped themselves to those girls as if they hadn't endured enough in there lifetime. And I already figured counselor Burroughs wasn't who he portrayed himself to be,but I would have never saw things going as far as they did. Can't wait to see how this plays out in the next installment!
Mr. Speight is truly the King of horror. I was too scared. One minute I'm crying for the girls and the next I'm screaming, " don't go in there, shit run, jump out the window, call Bo. " I hope I can sleep tonight. Very good story. Going to need that next part, asap!!!!!
I really enjoyed reading this one! I wanted to give it five stars, but gave it four stars due to the errors. I’m not the grammar police, but I do love a smooth, reading book. I do have some unanswered questions like what happened to Morgan, and will there be a part 2? Lol! Otherwise, good story.
This was a really good read. It kept me interested. Close to the end I felt I kinda knew who the villain was but still was good. It should be a second part to find out what happened to him and the remaining characters. There were some grammatical errors, but was still able to get the gist of the story. Awesome!!
It started out as a crazy ass read. I didn't think it could get any worse. I really did not like this read at all the story is crazy and wow so much happened. It made me sick to my stomach. This could have been such an excellent read had it not had the turns it did. This was a sick and twisted read. Beware
wow what a read, killers and sadness oh my! I don't know where book 2 will go but it has be an exciting follow up because book 1 was totally amazing! This author always bring some kind of craziness in each book and i appreciate it so much can't wait for book 2 or the next read.
To say I'm mad is a understatement I have read many books by this man many great books by this man these last two books with the spell check in the Miss place in the words and the characters names being switched and mixed around get it together
How you gonna end the book like that? And what makes it worst....No part 2 on the horizon. As a person who came out of a group home kind of what those young ladies went through. It is still happening. PLEASE PART 2 ASAP 👍👍👍👌💋
This man has done it again. Shameek Speight is one of the best author an I love his books. I'm still waiting on the Pleasure of Pain pt. 3. I have all his books, can't wait for more.
Really enjoyed this one. It definitely didn’t go as I thought it would. If your looking for a good read this is one I would recommend. If you are faint of heart take notice that there are some really graphic scenes written in.
Omg this book was full of so much suspense. I felt like I was watching a movie, I was on the edge of my seat. Your writing made everything so vivid!!!!! I am recommending this book to friends
A real live scary movie rolled into a book. This author has always been the stuff. This is the first book I've read in a long time. I got to admit I was on the edge of my seat. Great job author!!
The author has a weird mind set to write this book. It was good and suspenseful. It had twist and turns I didn't see coming and I can't wait to read the second part
