A woman heads to work on a foggy day. When she opens her garage and realize that the fog is too thick to see, she decides to walk around in the fog, to help herself get disoriented, confused and lost.
This short story was sooo creepy and atmospheric with being lost in a fog but the ending really let it down. I was buying it all up to the character finding the "surprise" in the tree but felt that what followed didn't do the story justice. Sometimes less is definitely more.
An enjoyable short story. I won't every look at fog or parrots in the same way again. I also enjoyed reading how the story came to be. Well written and well worth a read.
I appreciated the atmosphere that the author set in this short. It was good at capturing and maintaining my attention.
There were a couple paragraphs where the verb tense changed (which was odd) and I didn't care for the ending (it was abrupt and I wanted more explanation), but on the whole, it was a decent little story.
Not exactly what I like to think about living someplace that’s covered in fog 90% of the time, but excellently chilling. Just the thing for a shot taste of horror!
This short story was a quick read and interesting. It would be interesting to see it developed into a full-length novella or novel to add more depth and mystery to it.
